Swollen head Star Fighter is what Browne drew in my trade when he signed it.
I laughed so hard reading the first volume that I cried, it's about the funniest comic ever.

Same here,, and on that preview issue of #1 I got at C2E2. I've read the TPB like 3 times now, once on the GHA website for free when I first stumbled onto it.
Its great, dude gets his mustache punched or shot off doesn't he lol

I'm going to have to pull it out again. Always a fun read

I'm really excited for the IST update today. I know that there are a ton of books I'm planning to get that release in Fall, but I don't remember the dates they come out, so I'm really hoping something good comes out today.
I want to put together an IST order to spend some of that money I didn't spend at the Con, but I'm waiting until something new releases that I want before I order stuff.
Plus more "Thank you for your patience while we moved" extra sales.

Wait, they're on sale now! Should have checked the time on that tweet.

Those are great. The funny thing is I prefer the significantly cheaper BW examples over the "toned" ones.
Awaiting some kind of joke regarding how cheap I am.
Love the Dead Girl one.

Put in an order for a Poison Ivy 1/2 body sketch. :D Takes some of the pressure off and I won't have to join in on the mad dash through the Artist Alley now.

and it's done

Beautiful

Yikes.

"Yeah, I dug the cool, Gorillazy, every day gal design, but I just want to Adam Hughesify it by 75, 80%. Like, okay, let girls have the comic, but we gotta have somethin for the fellas right fellas??"

No thanks. Next.

so im looking to start reading some comics for marvel, from what ive seen in uk the main distributor is Panini right

http://www.paninicomics.co.uk/web/guest/comic_books/catalogue

whats best to start on from there and subscribe too

Marvel puts out their own books in the UK also. The same books as the USA. I'd go with them from Amazon. I don't like how Panini books feel.

Read All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men. Superior Spider-Man too. Thor God of Thunder is fantastic. Black Widow is cool as is Hawkeye.

Edit: oh no. I looked at that site. Those are books that come out months after regular releases random story releases. Go with normal trades from Amazon.

so this http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1846535484/ ?

Oh good, someone took a great character design and turned it into the tired old so tight it may as well be body paint standard female character look! Clearly we don't have enough of that in comics already!

For the brah who was asking me about the latest Hulk run a few weeks ago, I'm sorry but it took me a while to work up the courage to say it sucks. They need to shelve the character for a bit....

Wow, just read on Tom Breevorts Tumblr that Quesada really wanted to bring Gwen back... Dude is really Peters worst Supervillains.

Lol. I'm playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes right now on PC, and there's a part of the game where you get to go to Marvel HQ and see Alonso and Joey Q, I can't wait to get there and take frustrations out on Mr. $3.99.

I wish TT (the devs) had the balls to make an achievement referencing One More Day, it would have been a really funny dig at Marvel in a game full of goofy humor.

DO WANT.

Panini trades are way better quality. They have much thicker paper. They also tend to have more issues than the US versions. My only regret is buying their Uncanny Avengers trades since both Volume 2 and 3 have typos on their covers.

Honestly, the Marvel Collector's Editions are a good place to start if you don't want to commit to trades or the stupid prices of single issues, they are about 18 months behind though. I cut my comic teeth on those long, long ago, my first "proper" comic was the very first issue of the first volume Astonishing Spider-Man.

Their range is:
Astonishing Spider-Man (collects Superior Spider-Man, Scarlet Spider and Superior Foes of Spider-Man, bi-weekly)
Essential X-Men (collects All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men)
Avengers Universe (collects Uncanny Avengers, Mighty Avengers and Young Avengers)
Wolverine & Deadpool (collects Deadpool, Savage Wolverine and Wolverine and the X-Men)
Mighty World of Marvel (collects Daredevil, Avengers Arena and Guardians of the Galaxy)
Marvel Legends (collects Iron Man, Captain America and Thor: God of Thunder)
The Incredible Hulks (collects Indestructible Hulk and Red She-Hulk)

Titan publishes DC reprints in a similar vein but they are way closer to the US (the main Batman book has just started Robin Rises).

I've no idea why they aren't printing the Hickman Avengers stuff. They've been getting complaints in their letters pages about it. My guess they are saving it since some books are way ahead of others (Spider-Man is on Superior Venom, X-Men just finished Here Comes Yesterday and Revolution to give an idea of the divide).

Always kinda annoyed when I buy Panini trades by mistake, since they dont match Marvel Trades and dont always reprint everything... I have to buy two Issues of New Avengers since none of them, since they arent collected in the Infinity Collections and are two of five Issues of the ordinary Marvel Trades...

A trade or TPB is short for a "trade paperback", it's the common term for a collection of single issues.

I agree with your point, but I think it's an amazing piece regardless. He did mention that he didn't know much about the character and that his friend is the one that recommended him to do one of her.

I can't wait to preorder his Sideshow Batgirl on Oct 2nd.

Oh, I read all of The Li'l Depressed Boy from the comiXology sale.

It's astoundingly good. This book is my life, but in a comic and with a ragdoll as the protagonist. There was a page, I can't find it online, from #6 that hit me like a brick. Amazing stuff. I've added the new series to my list.
