Coming soon to Xbox Game Pass: Ghost Recon Wildlands, Turbo Golf Racing, Two Point Campus, Cooking Simulator, Expeditions Rome and More!

Getting worse every month. I would have sworn with Microsoft having zero AAA first-party games all of 2022, they'd at least get decent drops for their $180 per year GamePass rental service. But, so far, it's been pretty disappointing.

Honestly, a Game Pass sub ain't worth it all year long. You're better off waiting for a few games you're interested in to be added then subbing for 3 months.
That's almost true for every subscription I feel. The only thing I really use daily is Spotify, all other subscriptions I could easily live without and only activate when I want to see/play something. But other services don't have the ridiculous good XBL to Game Pass conversion deal.

At first glance it looked like a disappointing batch, but I've been really obsessed with these sims lately (Powerwash is my top 3 game this year) and as someone who loves to cook, cooking sim is right up my alley. Two point Campus sounds great too. I'm good.

Is Game Pass not still in the 'expansion' stage? It's hard to envisage much growth if this is what the average offering will look like. You'd think they'd already cracked 100m subs based on the last few months. Maybe not the best time to take your foot off the gas with Sony introducing their counter offer.

Willing to try Wildlands, although I wish it was a more traditional Ghost Recon game. The rest is whatever, but there's already too many good games on Game Pass that a couple disappointing months in a row isn't really doing any harm imo. As I recall the drops are usually lackluster during the summer

I don't get it. Are they trying to be the netflix of gaming without the expenses of netflix? That's what they're telling me anyway

Yeah, it's a wierd timing to become less competative with the monthly offerings. PS+ has been really good even in the Essential tier the last two months and if they keep it up even the lowest tier will still look like a good option.

Doesn't it come to a point when their is perhaps too much?
It's actually a problem where you just can't keep up with the releases and have to skip some months to focus on what you started.

It's great that there's competition for that, if MS sees engagement or subs drop they will provide more.

Can't see a reason to switch to a different sub right now personally but choice is good.

Two Point Campus is going to review well. This will mark 3 months in a row we have got a really good Day 1 Game Pass game for my tastes. Sniper Elite 5 came out in May but it isn't really my jam.

June- TMNT: Shredders Revenge
July- As Dusk Falls
August- Two Point Campus

I get 3 years at a time just to get all the discount I could
I paid £121 for 3 years and at this point I'm just thinking I should have subbed for 1 month at a time for £7.99 when Avowed, Starfield, Perfect Dark and Fable eventually release.

Shredders revenge is a top tier game on Gamepass. If you haven't played it you are missing out.

I have gamepass paid up with rewards points until 2024 at some point right now. I still think it is the best deal in gaming.

How much of your life do you spend on that thing you don't like?

Just why? How does it benefit you? Isn't your time better spent elsewhere? Like.. I dunno, enjoying games on the platforms you like?

Such a bizarre way to waste your time.

ignore it, its a bot

On the surface I'm pretty disappointed with what Game Pass is delivering lately.
The last AAA banger that was a recent-ish release was Guardians of the Galaxy back in March. Just feels like they are coasting and padding profit now.
thankfully there has been some diamonds in the rough but I'm not getting what I expected especially given Xbox's dismal 2022 output (aside from FH Hot wheels which they decide to not induce in GP)
maybe two point will be good and interest me. Turbo Golf in concept seems fun but devs only made a Trails like skiing game before. expeditions Rome seems good too but id rather avoid the Xbox app and prefer playing on xsx than my pc.

It's very odd. You'd think with PS+ tiers launching and Xbox having a drought of first-party games, that they'd double down on GamePass deals. But, it's been the opposite.

It seems most of the talk for GP has been for Guardians of the Galaxy and them bringing back Yakuza after taking it down. Meanwhile, PS+ also has Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's hardly more than a footnote. Same with every Yakuza game.

I think the last couple months, PS Essential tier (GWG's competitor) has even beaten out Game Pass, it's just that bad lately.

I'm downloading Tony Hawk 1 + 2 and Like a Dragon on PS+ and Starcraft Remastered on Prime Gaming. Activision had a down quarter so they're making fantastic deals on subs 😃

I get that people who only play 3rd person cinematic action-adventures might be a bit disappointed, but Two Point Campus alone makes this a solid month well worth the 10/13 dollars that the subscription costs. Idk what people are expecting tbh.

Two Point alone is $40, plus you've got the rest of the month to go. 🤷‍♂️

Seems pretty dang rough. But I've been surprised before by random small games. Shenzen maybe.

I guess I'll try ghost gun Ubisoft 10 for a few min.

Second half of the month should have Midnight Fight Club which is one of my most anticipated games. That pays for me the month for me realistically.

I recognize it's probably an excellent game but to be perfectly fair there have been quite a few of these city builder/survival games recently. Also too many job simulator games. They need a little bit more variety I think. They could have thrown in a few cheap older titles like an old fighting game in the vein of a street fighter collection or Marvel vs Capcom 3. A metroidvania game wouldn't be too expensive and there are many to choose from like the castlevania advance collection or something. Maybe even an older JRPG like chrono trigger or something. It doesn't have to be day 1 or super high budget but they can do better with variety for sure.

Personally as a PC player this month feels fine but I gotta say that console output looks pretty bare. It feels on par with an average PS+ month back from when I played on console still and that was 50 bucks a year. There are good games but it hasn't been hype since Guardians of the Galaxy IMO. I hope the second half has better output.
