I like Compulsion's previous games. They at least tried to be original. The gameplay here is more familiar and probably not GOTY material, but the setting and the tone makes me super curious about it.

The setting and aesthetic are probably its biggest selling point for me.

The gameplay looks.. passable, this thing definitely has a ceiling when it comes for quality, and it ain't a super-high one.

I've been intrigued by this game since it was first shown off. The fake 2D, low framerate animation thing was not working and it looks like they got rid of it for the better. I still wish it was more 3D platformer than beat-'em-up though.


I think she fits the setting.

When someone says something is "woke' its like, it means nothing to me lol

When folks force that argument on every game, it looses more and more meaning.

By the end of 2025, they'll make this claim about all games...

This looks like an old school PS2 or XB game in terms of its design. (or early PS3 title)

I was wondering the same as I let it waste seconds of my life. That clip in particular is just awful.

I wouldn't say its awful, but its pretty basic.

Yep. A direct type show in January would already have a pretty decent line-up.

- Avowed launch trailer-ish

- Doom: The Dark Ages
- Outer Worlds 2
- Fable

And maybe a surprise announcement or two.

It's actually interesting how the console manufactorers handle their exclusive games.

Microsoft
Games not too expensive to make + gaming hardware became completely irrelevant + Game Pass destroys game sales = Can't spend any money on marketing.

Sony
Games are super expensive to make + dependant on hardware sales = Need dozens of millions for marketing.

Nintendo
Games are cheap to make + least amount of 3rd party games = No need for much marketing.

I'm not sure the last part is true, Nintendo spends quite a bit on marketing. At least here in London I've seen Echoes of Wisdom marketing all over.

Not seeing much Nintendo marketing in Germany and when it's usually about the console.

The stop motion effect can be toggled on/off for game play.

It will always be there in the cut-scenes.

NO WAY!!! That'll kill the game. There's been little to no marketing for this title. A summer release date would be good.

The character seems to be floating in the air, and the animations are not that good. It feels like a 3D platformer version of Fortnite. I liked the giant crocodile, but due to the uninteresting combat and the floaty character, it doesn't seem like an enjoyable gameplay experience. I'm expecting 70-75 metacritic score for this; another brick in gamepass.

Probably intentional, unfortunately.

I don't like how inorganic the "platforms" feel, like the level design feels a bit too obvious. Especially for that swampy biome - it would be cooler if it was a bit more overgrown/organic and chaotic feeling.
