I imagine this is largely due to zero stock from Nvidia.

and zero fucks are given by Nvidia.
You small childish gamers, pfft. They are in the grown-up league now.

I'm in the 'I was interested but those greedy cunts can fuck themselves' category. I'm not paying over what those cards are worth. Bring them down to normal prices and for anyone that's paid those stupid prices (outside of grabbing the 9070XT at MSRP), you're part of this problem.

I ordered a 5080 early March to replace my 3080ti in my ultrawide rig, the expected delivery date has now moved from 30th March to 30th of April.

I just want to say that I spent 1300$ for a new robot vacuum.
no. it's not 5080

Why so the pie chart and the bar chart different?

Anyways, if AMD had actually sold at MSRP and had more availability, it would have been like a 90/10 split.

I say they dropped the ball, letting the AIB partners run wild. Fuck the AIB partners (and Nvidia too, just cuz).

If AMD manages to keep up supply, market share will be really interesting in a month or two.

Of course it's AMD so they probably ran through all their stock and now will trickle down the cards in same manner as Nvidia.

Interesting that I've been checking the local Micro Centers around NYC area - and asides 5090, some of them have few 5070ti and some 5080s in stock for past few days.
These are AIB models, but mid to mid high AIB ones, and none at its respective MSRP ones (750, 999).

I thought they would sell out in minutes, but not quite so. Demand for 9070xt seems to be far more exceeding than demand for 70ti and 80 at the moment.... that 9070xt sells out quite quickly as soon as they come in (except the very top end models).

I can promise you one thing. Nvidia are absolutely livid about losing share to AMD.

Good. Their new cards are fucking insulting. I wasn't planning on buying one even if they were good because I'm still happy with my 4090, but they need to do better next time. About time AMD did something.

Would be interesting to see this chart if supply was not a issue.
I'm very happy with the 5090, but it's good to see AMD doing well. Competition is very much needed in this space.

I think he was being sarcastic.

I think we're also seeing what caused EVGA to bounce. I have a feeling whatever they designed for the 4090 + the MSRP was enough to say they'd HAVE to charge crazy money to recoup what Nvidia wants. This really seems like a plan to get as many AIBs to back out as possible so they're the only provider

The announcement from EVGA was a huge red flag nobody took heed of. They saw the writing on the wall, said fuck it, not worth being squeezed by Nvidia and TSMC by proxy. Their upgrade program would have been demolished too, pretty much the whole brand would have shat the bed trying to maintain delivering the value they did. Maybe they'll return to that market one day if things ever get better.

Well they are doing business there too.

Yes. I was just answering why I thought it was sarcasm. Nvidia can't keep their hardware allocations for this segment on shelves and scalping is insane. If Ryan Davis were alive, he'd probably wear a shirt that says, "Nvidia don't care".

Until we get a game like Crysis that can't even try to run on a current console, I'll stick with my 1080 that still plays everything I have on PC.
