I don't get the anti-Klinsmann agenda some people in US soccer media have lol. There are just some people who really want the guy out.
From what I can see, it's a combination of things.
A) People feeling like they were sold a bill of goods about how JK would revolutionize how the USMNT plays the game (super open, expansive soccer instead of BUNKERDOWN BOB) which really has never materialized.
B) People feeling like the hiring and continued employment of JK is a tacit admission on the part of the USSF that no one in America knows the game well enough and they need a proper European to come and show the team the true way to play.
C) Developing from A and B, people feeling like JK gets passes for his blunders that another manager would not.
D) All kinds of tactical blunders in team selection and formations. Specifically Donovan
E) His constant criticism of the MLS

The US team has always been about fitness and hustle, how ironic that we hired the one European coach who is even more obsessed with fitness and hustle than the average American coach, and seemingly not at all interested in the half dozen aspects of soccer we actually need to work on...

Still the best option as a coach and a better player than the US has ever produced. He can't fix the fundamentals that most of these players should have learned at youth level. He can implement systems for the future though.

Gold Cup has nothing to do with World Cup rights. Telemundo has the WC but Univision (and UniMas) has the GC.
