it's an insert. The women put this in when they go to walk the rapey streets of South Africa. The only way this can be removed from a man's penis is surgically, by a doctor. Lots of small cuts and use of forceps and topical anesthetic.
 
I'm all for them. The worst part is that they actually have to be penetrated for it to be effective, but what can you do? Hopefully the scare factor is enough to push people off of rape.
 
I do think they need to coat the barbs with an irritant, just in case the initial pain isn't enough to protect the victim.
 
What if they go for the back door instead of the front? Are all these women buying two - one for the pink and one for the stink?

While this is a great aid for women in fear of rape, what's to stop a vengeful woman for using this to get back at someone?

Usually consensual sex doesn't start with insertion right away... usually there is foreplay involved that would lead a guy to discover the device before blindly cramming their cock into the thing.
 
I know that dick-pain can be pretty intense, but I imagine someone who is prepared to brutally rape a woman is going to have enough adrenaline flowing through them that these teeth aren't going to leave them writhing on the ground while the victim flees.
If someone can take some fingernails clawing into them and gouging them while they rape away, I imagine they will be able to kill a woman with this thing mutilating their members.

It's seems like a great device at first, but like several people ITT, I think it will just lead to women getting killed and rapists figuring out how to remove these on their own.

Well that this news is in the open, I would assume that rapist will just anal rape women instead. They wouldn't want to risk getting a mangled dick.

Yes but the dynamics of a woman attacked in the woods by a stranger are a bit different from a woman and an injured ex-husband with a now shredded penis.
 
Eh, you'd imagine some doctors will be on the rapists' side (probably for money) and this won't help much. But every little bit counts right?
 
Theres a story about these every year and every year they're fake.

They don't seem very practical in use. Rapist could stick his fingers down there before hand and just pull it out. I'm not a woman but I also wouldn't be too sure about putting something inside of me that has razor sharp hooks.

Because they *aren't* handing them out.

They announce this story as a scare tactic, so anyone that might of thought of preying on people at the event would think twice.
