Some people here have actually read a couple books and made reference to vagina dentata without resorting to pop culture references.

Normally I'd agree until the rapist cock is (deservedly) torn to shreds by the woman. Then I'm thinking all bets would be off for a lot of people not normally inclined to take rape to murder stage.

I could imagine this of being a more legal way of doing it like OH GOD I FORGOT TO TAKE IT OUT SORRY!

But I also imagine someone so hung up over such a thing would have just taken the scissor alternative anyways.

Yet the doctors that have to remove this will assume he was trying to rape her, she'll call rape. Either they believe her and the guy gets sent to jail and labeled a sex offender, or the charges get dropped, the guy still has his physical wounds, and nothing happens to the girl.

Girls that use this outside of rape should get jailtime, no parole, no questions asked. This is assault with a deadly weapon.

Why do people keep thinking this is somehow ATTACHED to the woman? It's simply inserted and then would pull out when the rapist pulls outs.

What are you on about? It would work just fine... the hooks come into play once the penis is withdrawn, not on insertion. The idea is that the penis would slip in the same direction the "teeth" are laying, but as soon as it's pulled in the other direction the teeth would sink in and then the epic struggle of rapist vs. toothy-condom would take place.

And upon insertion the device would collapse - you would not be able to insert you penis into it. The device is not rigid, the device is not affixed to the woman. You may as well jump into a pair of tube socks or throw a pillow into a pillow case.

EVEN IF you intentionally put it on, you would have to HOLD the device still when withdrawing for it to become embedded, otherwise it would just slip out of the vagina along with the penis, and never dig into it.
The friction between a vagina and a (regular) condom is less than the friction between a condom and a penis. This is why condoms don't slip off your dick and lay in the vagina with every thrust. This is why female condoms are so cumbersome and require retention rings.
The same holds true here - unless you're a canine with a knot at the base of your dick, it is easy to withdraw from a vagina. The sole source of force between the condom and the penis will be imparted by the friction between the vagina and the condom. That force, divided by the total area of contact of the spikes, will yield the pressure each spike would apply. Unless the device is attached to the woman, that pressure will not result in hooks embedding into your tissue. At most you'd get uncomfortable poking or some scratches to the skin.

Female condoms aren't rigid and I've never had a problem keeping one in place in my vagina. Think of it as a Chinese fingertrap or the opening of Clorox kitchen wipes. You stick your finger down there to grab a wipe. Your finger goes down smoothly but once you grabbed onto a wipe and pull your finger out it's HOLY FUCKING SHIT time.

Inward-facing barbs that stuck far enough into the flesh would be difficult for the average person to remove without causing lots of additional tissue damage.

Seems there is a lot of concerned dicks in here.

Rule of thumb is to, sniff it, taste it, and then fingers. Don't just go and put your penis in first all willy nilly.
