So other than Sea of Thieves, which one of those is a GaaS game?I think this might be what they have on the roster:
- Sea of Thieves - live service game that depends on the community playing it, having it on other platforms make a lot of sense if they're thinking about expanding an audience to multiple platforms
- Grounded - survival game with lower scope that is based around co-op, already finished its life cycle and have potential to reach new players
- Pentiment - small adventure game which can especially do well among Switch players who play on handheld mode or PlayStation Portal users
- HI-FI Rush - well-acclaimed game that didn't made a huge splash commercially. Having it on multiple platforms can give it much more recognition and improve its sales performance
I wouldn't count for Starfield, but I think Avowed, Hellblade 2 and Indiana Jones may have a big chance for releasing on PS5 in 2025
Yeah but now they've had their hope crushed. With him saying this, they are smart enough to realize if it does come it definitely wont be anytime soon after its release on Xbox.
Grounded. I believe he mentioned something about "community-driven" and that game was an Early Access multiplayer survival game which was updated for several yearsSo other than Sea of Thieves, which one of those is a GaaS game?
he said two smaller games, and two service games.
Can't wait for the first person immersive sim experience later this year.
I'm warming up to it. I think the fistfights will be much more strategic and involved in first person much like this game:
The former Starbreeze devs at Machine Games have had years to think about how to improve on this.
Maybe state of decay? Makes sense as it’s a GAAS game by nature.Grounded. I believe he mentioned something about "community-driven" and that game was an Early Access multiplayer survival game which was updated for several years
Shinobi said on Era: "for now"
Anyone thinking they will just stop at these 4 is insane lol.Shinobi said on Era: "for now"
This quote right here is business talk and I can’t believe people are legitimately not seeing what he is saying right hereWell Phil did say this: “don’t want to rule out a game coming to any other platforms […] currently focused on 4 games". Full quote via The Verge:
Exactly as expected.how was the show today?
This is just the first rub on the nipple. Can’t be smooth entry without foreplay first.Anyone thinking they will just stop at these 4 is insane lol.
Imagine thinking you're winning while your brand deities are porting games to the rival brand you hate.how was the show today?
He was smoking that copium during the event…there’s gonna be a lot of people picking parts that they wanted to hear without listening to everything.Exactly as expected.
I take you completely missed the part where they said more games will come, but in different words?
Now they be like:how was the show today?
I have no horse in this race, I just look at who the majority of fanboys are somewhere and call them out.Imagine thinking you're winning while your brand deities are porting games to the rival brand you hate.
So laughable that people here really believe this isn’t the beginning of the end for Xbox exclusives. I wish I could turn on blinders like that. But I don't want to create a false expectation on those other platforms that this is somehow the first four to get over the dam and then the dam's going to open and that everything else is coming. that's not the plan today.
The least convincing thing I’ve ever heard come out of Phil’s mouth.

Update: Games are:
Pentiment
Hi-Fi Rush
Grounded
Sea of Thieves
Microsoft: four Xbox-exclusive games are coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch
Microsoft is starting out small but has big ambitions.www.theverge.com

Xbox chief Phil Spencer doesn't rule out Starfield and Indiana Jones coming to PS5. "I don't think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform.
Might be possible too. I can also see that both were created on Unreal Engine 4 so porting them probably wouldn't be that challengingMaybe state of decay? Makes sense as it’s a GAAS game by nature.
What exactly was made up?Is there a list of the 'leakers' who made up shit regarding this? So I can disregard anything by them in future?
Give it about 6 months. The day they announce Halo there will be a shit storm. I predict people burning xbox consoles in front of MS stores.
I mean Phil himself is basically saying that, but you wouldn’t know it from the fanboys on here crowing like it’s confirmed they’ll stay exclusive and everyone who believes otherwise should be ashamed of their thoughts & deedsShinobi said on Era: "for now"
Well Phil did say this: “don’t want to rule out a game coming to any other platforms […] currently focused on 4 games". Full quote via The Verge:
You mentioned that Starfield and Indiana Jones aren't part of the four despite rumors, but will those ever come to PS5? Can you rule that out?
I don't think we should as an industry ever rule out a game going to any other platform. We're focused on these four games and learning from the experience.
But I don't want to create a false expectation on those other platforms that this is somehow the first four to get over the dam and then the dam's going to open and that everything else is coming, that's not the plan today. I also don't want to mislead customers on those other platforms. We're launching these four games, and we're excited about it. We're excited about the announce and everything else, but we'll see what happens for our business.

They were speaking the truth. Grounded is game of the year 3 years in a row.Well
I watched it
Man, based on the way they talk, XBOX is the greatest thing in the world and PlayStation and Nintendo are small pieces of trash
Indiana Jones, Starfield etc. Literally had one moments after the podcast aired: "I understand that Microsoft has also previously been weighing up the idea of bringing Gears of War, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and even the next Doom game to rival platforms"What exactly was made up?
Good summary.how was the show today?
Are you sure? It doesn't feature any clowns in spandex costumes. They were speaking the truth. Grounded is game of the year 3 years in a row.
I’m about to start watching it. Just gauging the comment in here for a bit first, while my lasagne bakes.Well
I watched it
