I'm still not digging the fur, but it could look different in motion I guess. Most the vids I've seen don't allow me enough time check out the motion.

Same here. Is this a remake of the N64 version or a sequel to it?

I didn't like the Conker demo though, but I'm sure the final game will be fun, especially with XBL

Nice! It's funny how like the game it's based on, it too is coming out near the end of the console's life. Shame really...
 
Those of you who haven't played it are really in for a treat (although its certainly possible that the game has grown stale). It's an awesome little title.
 
I was a big fan of Conker when it originally came out, but after watching recent video of the Xbox version, I was shocked at how bad some of the animation is. Some of the stuff in the cinematics is really stiff and awkward.

I was hoping that the animation would receive a facelift along with the graphics, but it doesn't look like it. I'm sure it will still be an enjoyable game, but in that respect it hasn't aged well.

I loved the N64 version. Sure the Matrix and Saving Private Ryan refrences are going to be a tad old, the game is still going to be absolutely hillarious. Can't wait!
 
These screens are from last year's E3.. they are almost a year old now, and were taken with a camera, but they still look amazing to me!

I can't wait to play this on Live.
 
I hope this game is really successful, or at least successful enough for a Xenon sequel. Not only because it'd look great, but because I want new parodies! Right now they could do LOTR, Harry Potter and Spider-Man etc., but I don't know how relevant those would be by the time a sequel was made. I guess LOTR is big enough to last, and sequels are still being made for the other two, so it should be fine.
 
For all you gus that missed the original its a great game. For those that have played it I don't think it'll have much replay value. Unless they revamp all the movie parady's to newer movies it'll be very dated. Multi-player should rock it was brilliant even back on the 64.

Even still, it's probably been four or five years since a lot of us have played through it.

Agreed. It would really suck if Conker sold poorly, cause I'd love to see another Conker sequel.

Microsoft needs to start pushing the game really hard. New demos, weekly screenshot & movie releases, magazine ads, commercials, etc.
 
I find parodies just dont age well. If they revamp it and throw in some new stuff from new movies it would be great. Matrix, Saving Private Ryan, Aliens are gettign a little old now.
 
How much did Microsoft pay for Rare again? $375 million US? And what have they got to show for it? Grabbed By The Ghoulies? I don't know about the rest of you, but the double entendre (ghoulies, abi normal etc) are just lame.

Fuck the single player, its all about Xbox Live multiplayer for me. My most anticipated game of 2005
 
theres something about the fur i just do NOT like

I think its the way theyre doing it

like look at his tail at parts the fure is like 3 shapes that are seperated and just grow smaller

that doesnt come off as fur to me

I just do not like it

Don't worry about the fur. It's the same fur engine as Star Fox Adventure, and it looked absolutely stunning in motion.
 
I just want to be different and say, i totally like dig the fur peeps. It makes me go goooo or similar to that effect.

Oh my friend, you wouldn't be saying that if you played the original. The single player is classic. The online multiplayer is frosting on the already delicious cake.
 
fur looked great to me when i played the demo. it obviously doesn't capture well for screenshots though, it looks weird :)
 
Could you imagine the Balrog scene from LOTR in the sequel on Xenon with this godlike team behind it? How good would that look?

Ok, I'm done. Back to amazing this gen graphics...pff...
 
Conker rocks, and those who haven't played it are in for a treat, but good god I wish the old forum was still up so I could search and find out which of you were hardballing people for looking forward to the Resident Evil Remake.

Loved the N64 version...best game released on the system IMO.

Can't wait to play the Xbox version in 2007!!! (if we're lucky)
 
The N64 game, while flawed, was pretty good.

Still, I don't have high hopes for this game sales-wise, unfortunately...it just doesn't seem like the type of game that would sell in big numbers on the Xbox. We'll see though.
 
Yep, the fur-maps look good in this game. Every single furry thingies and also any grass in ANY game should be made with fur-maps...
