I like it. Not sure about the rate that they're killing off the people though.

And Rachel Nichols is so good.

This show is revitalizing Rachel Nichols' career. While she is in Vancouver I hope she films some Lifetime movies, which single handily prop the Canadian film industry.

Never made it through the pilot it was pretty terrible in almost every way conceivable.

I'd be surprised if it made it through the first season.

Terrible script, terrible SFX, terrible actors and shallow characters that drive the plot forward through a line of plot cliches. It is like they tried to make the worst possible show ever.

Are we watching a different show? Just finished watching the 3rd episode and I think it is great. Visuals are awesome for tv as well.

No, they are not as good as BSG, but this is a show that is produced and only aired in Canada. With the budget that I can bet is pretty tight, they are doing a damn fine job.

Watched the first two episodes and I like it so far.
If Lost Girl get a second season, then this will probably too.

Check out the user review - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1954347/

I have only watched the first two episodes and I'm still iffy on it. Like some of the actors from other shows (Lexa Doig, Roger Cross) but the whole Canadian Sci-Fi show about corporations running things has been done before on Charlie Jade (which I really enjoyed).

I honestly can't see anyone rooting for the corporation side to win and would expect the female cop lead to be in the past long enough to start to question how things are in the future... but that's me.

Without getting too... spoilery... for those who've seen the latest episodes does it get better/is it worth sticking through to the current episodes?

Right now its still building its overall arc but the latest episode has the terrorist finally showing their hand.

But like you said it hard to root for the corporations, I don't see how Kiera is going to stick up for them and carryout her duty as a protector the longer she stays in the current era and questioning what the corporations did to gain power. Yet the terrorist are still douche bags that are willing to kill innocent people who get in their way.

I like it personally (but I make it a personal goal of mine to support any sci-fi show) I wont blame anybody for bailing if they find it a little boring. I only recommend it if you just love anything sci-fi.

I really enjoyed the whole season. Sure the CGI sucks but it's one of the more believable future stories.

Hopefully it happens. End spoiler talk-

why would he have sent her + Kagami back in time? he does seem to be the mastermind but is he evil?

A little late to the party but good show.

In regards to your spoiler:

He needed to send Kiera back as she ensures the future happens with the corporations taking power. Could see season 2 making her go rogue and side with section 8 as she was already showing anti-corporation thoughts. Think we are in a different time line too, (Kellog's grandmother dying) so it has the freedom to move in that direction and could see Alec being the bad guy.

Sorry for the bump but season 1 premiers in the US tonight on Syfy. I already saw it but maybe those that missed it might want to check it out.

The show started out slow but the season finished strong, I have high hopes for season 2.

Watched the whole first season a while ago. I really like it. Not the greatest thing ever but better than most and definitely worth your time.

Seemed ok, but the random 6 dudes from the future somehow are so uber bad ass that they are going to start a war? It just seemed silly how somehow these bad guys are somehow unstoppable by our modern police/military?

I believe a few are genetically engineering supersoliders. The others are all technicians and the such.

Plus they come from the future ... so you know, our world must feel like child's play to them.

So is this show on SyFy every Monday at 8PM? I think I am going to record the first season and watch it later. Now that Fringe is over I have no science fiction shows besides Doctor Who to watch anymore.

Been watching this for the same reason. I like it so far. Of course, I'm a total sucker for time travel.

The sci-fi elements are standard background stuff, you got your time paradox, super soldier, future tech stuff, and even got the corporate dystopia future. A majority of the time the episodes are spent in the past/present timeline so you don't see a lot of future tech stuff.

The individual procedural stories go back to the future timeline a little bit to set up the plot of the episode or character development.

The serial arc is more focused on the two groups plans on changing or maintaining the future with the protagonist stuck between the 2 sides set in the past/present timeline.

I finally just burned through the 1st season. Holy shit, this show is great. I wish I watched it earlier because it is better then some of the crap I have been watching.

It looks like the 2nd season is starting up on Friday @10PM on SyFy according to my DVR, I am definitely looking forward to it coming back.
