...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
This guy really impresses me. He's got two bands. Two different sounds. His ballads are probably better than his heavy shit. And his singing voice is terrific. I don't think he gets enough credit as an artist. Behind that stupid mask is a guy who's not using everybit of potential he's got. We need another Stone Sour release. Slipknot's Vol. 3 rocked and I want more; especially the balads.

Edit: Thread inspired by "Inhale."

I'm with you on this one. CT rocks, though I'm not very familiar with all his work.

What songs has he made that sound similar to Inhale?

"Circle" which is off the newest Slipknot is just...touching. It really hits a soft spot with me. It's really, really beautiful. Superbly composed, and a cello in the background.

*sigh* Here we go. I guess I'll start watching the newsstands cuz sooner or later this dude's mug is gonna be on the cover of Tiger Beat the way you guys are swooning. :)

Seriously though, its pretty good stuff that he's been involved in making. I just wish the ballads would stay over with Stone Sour where they belong. Slipknot is for heavy, unforgiving songs.

Well first off, I've been listening to Stone Sour for over 2 years. I didn't appreciate Slipknot at all (I still don't like their first 2 records -- especially Iowa). Vol. 3 shows off Corey's melodic side and his rough side; the comboination is perfect.

Can't say I really give two shits about Slipknot, but the song he did that was on the Spiderman soundtrack was brilliant.

Tim Kasher what?

Yeah, I dig that one. It's all I know. Kind of a guilty pleasure though, since it's so overly angsty. Nice to listen to when you're in a certain mood.

"Bother"? Overly angsty? Wrong song, pal...
