Next 10 man we are playing Cache, Inferno and Dust 2. I feel those are the three we haven't played in a while.

DDK and James are my favorite casting combo. I really enjoy watching Jmoses and sadokist at the desk, fiffy is great too.

Hopped on comp after not playing since August.
Didn't give a fuck, top scorer, ranked up to gold nova 3.
I really think the best way to play this game is just don't over think it. Develop good instincts, good map sense and good spray control/aim.
Having a plan and a good team of course as well.

I just logged onto FaceIt and remember why I don't play on it, I legitimately can't play on it because for some reason, FaceIt clears out the Console every few seconds or so, causing the to erase the exec controller.360.cfg required for the controller to function. Without this command the Joysticks will not work, meaning I can't aim or shoot until I reinput the commands. Leading to moments like these:

Shame that 3 months later, this problem still persist. ESEA, Valve's Matchmaking, and CEVO don't have these issues.Don't know why FaceIt does. I even tried contacting their support, and listed it under "Other issues" since it doesn't fit under any of their options, and they just emailed me a generic email telling me to issue it under one of the categories.
Guess I could just make a Reddit post hoping one of the FaceIt guys see this, I mean FaceIt already let's all the Silvers and Nova's play on their servers, may as well let us Console peasants in on the fun ;P

5) DDK James combo (mostly due to James, not a fan of DDK solo or with any other caster)
casters I don't like:
HenryG (he talks way too much and way too fast like a radio commentator)
Machine (both his casting and hosting)
and DDK solo or with any caster other than James
Does anyone else have the problem on Faceit that the sound lags behind when spectating a teammate?
I don't think its an issue and more of an feature to discourage backseat gaming

Largely it's just keep at it, a lot of surfing is feel that can't be explained all that well, you just need to watch and emulate. When you're in servers normally there's a bit replaying the record run, watch it a few times and see if you pick things up. There are a few general tips that can help though.
1) Don't strafe against the direction you're looking, you lose speed
2) Land as smoothly as you can on ramps, meaning parallel to their direction. If you crash into them at odd angles you lose speed
3) I see a lot of new people think they need to flick off every surface, going up and down over and over. You don't need to do this, focus on getting enough speed to carry gaps as close to horizontally as you can
Vary your maps, also. Different maps help teach you different things, so a mix rounds you off nicely. I did most of my learning on mesa, rookie, beginner, and aircontrol.

One thing I would like is to get like a detailed breakdown from Pro teams on why they don't do certain things.
Like I would like to know why NiP/Xizt decides force-buy rushing with the Tec9 on Inferno wasn't tried again, when it was the only round they won, and won clean with 4 people alive.
Just be interesting to see how their minds work, and why they commit to certain strategies and play styles more than others.

maybe they're not trying to pass LoL and Dota and just thought a shooter with moba mechanics would be a good game.
There are other shooters that are trying to do exactly that. Paladins, Gigantic (although third person), Overwatch as a few examples.

Overwatch isn't a moba either. Having abilities doesn't make you a moba. It just makes you a shooter with abilities, like Destiny. Unless you're telling me Bungie is so ahead of the game they made an FPS MOBA MMO.

Destiny is MMOish with the grind and RNG. It has some multiplayer but nothing even remotely alike. Overwatch is more similar to Paladins as I stated before but Paragon is another game to add into this flooded genre.

In MOBAs there's typically 3 lanes, with creeps defending objectives (usually turrets) which defend a bigger objective. As you can see in the Paragon trailer, there are two characters defending some sort of crystal turret with creeps also defending it against other creeps trying to take it down so that they can advance towards your ancient/nexus/power core/whatever the fuck its gonna be called in this game.
This in no way has been in any trailer or stream of Paladin/Overwatch.

That's what I've been doing as well as playing the occasional zombie mode in BO3. Only mode I feel I can play constantly throughout the DLC as well.

No, it's a glorified MOBA. It has turrets, creeps, and escorting shit (or whatever you need to add into the MOBA quota). You level up from killing creeps or enemies, sounds kinda similar to me.
Titanfall has creeps tho
