also ive been trying to figure it out for years but i figure ill ask again to be sure

2/3 years ago i used to be able to play with consistent fps, but at some point my frames started to drop whenever i looked at a smoke

now if i try to play at native res, im at 200 generally and then i look at a smoke and go as low as 40. is there a fix for this? or is it just the way the game is now?

I think they broke it after they updates the smoke to prevent one-way smokes. Ur fps stays low until u walk right to the middle of the smoke, happened to me too when I was still playing on my laptop. Now my game just freezes at random times and I need to restart my pc. :"D I think I downgraded.
