NA is never going to be great, it's just how Americans are. No one wants to put in the work to be good, they expect it to come easy and be handed to them.
I don't know what kind of bullshit went down with OpTic but they were competitive against Astralis, currently best team in the game, then stanislaw decides he wants to go to a lesser team for some reason.
NA is fine with having a good one month a year while streaming Rank S for 12 hours

name one active pro currently streaming regularly. almost all regular rank s streamers are inactive or banned. also, just try and convince me that no na pros want to win because i really want to know if its possible to become retarded.
since the history of na csgo backs you up, in what way were pros pre 2014 playing just for profit when most of them werent getting paid in anything other than sponsor gear, if they were even part of an org?
i dont know why na just has always been a step behind, but im also not going to pretend to be some kind of insider who knows the 1 neat trick thatll have you playing like a euro because i read a moses tweet once

I think its just boys club politics at the end of the day. When contracts and sponsorships began to get lucrative people only wanted to play with others they got along with. Now buyouts are set in stone and even if people could set aside their differences and play on the same squad, there is too much red tape and money preventing it from happening, a la the Optic/Liquid stalemate. Ironically the thing that NA players said used to hold them back the most (sponsorships) might be the thing that dooms them to perpetual mediocrity. I don't see them challenging on the world stage again unless there is a massive roster shakeup amongst Optic/Liquid/C9 or something.
how is that different than eu atm tho? fnatic fell apart temporarily over personal differences, french cs is a single team with 15 players and 3 names that always have drama of their own, polish cs is just vp who wouldnt make a change even when esl had to do backflips to keep them in epl and german cs is just mouz who consistently underachieve but still wont cut spidii and denis.
theres drama everywhere, just not always in english and often not leaked on stream for kicks

The excuse before was "all the talent is in Europe" but LG/SK moved to America and went on to win 2 majors despite playing against the same NA competition as C9/Liquid/OpTic etc. Even Immortals is slowly becoming the second best team in the NA region, another Brazilian team.
It's the way Americans approach shit, they don't bother to get good unless it comes easy. It's why there are no top NA teams in anything that's internationally competitive outside of basketball. Only things Americans are good at is shit no one cares about like football and Halo.

i get it, you shit on america because you yourself have never been good at anything, and need something to feel superior to. if you really want a nationality contest in competitive fields, i suggest we have an international sports competition every 4 years and count who gets the most medals
