No they are not, even if apple won everything and got the 2.5 billion they claimed, it wouldn't come close to bankrupting Samsung.
Unless they had to stop selling their phones.

Willfully misleading a consumer with the visual appearance of a product or it's packaging. What's a trade dress?
A jury in the US is never going to go against Apple in a case like this.
That's just the truth.
All "we" can hope for.All we can hope for now is that any appeals court will strike this shit down hard.
This is good for windows phone right?
One BILLION dollars... Wow.
What enrages me the most is that Apple DID NOT FUCKING INVENT most of these things, but this jury is buying that they did. It's like when Steve Jobs first revealed the iPhone, and outright lied everyone in the face by saying "we invented this amazing thing called multitouch". No, Steve, you didn't invent that, nor did anyone at Apple. It existed long, long before you ever put it in the iPhone. And that's the way it goes with most things Apple claims to have invented. It's all bullshit, and that's why I'm so fucking pissed off at Apple. I don't deny that they made the smartphone market something it wasn't before the iPhone, but that's beside the point. They're still assholes.
probably won't do anything. Overturning a jury on a giant case like this would be so epic that it just won't happen.Bring on the appeals.

A lot of people in here arguing about these decisions being bad for the consumer, but why is it bad for the consumer for companies to focus on creating innovative designs? Probably going to get crucified for saying it, but that's how I pretty much feel about this whole ordeal. There can be competition without every phone having to be a black rectangle with the same touchscreen mechanics.

For example, if RC cola put out a can that looked just like a Coca-Cola can.
It's hardly the truth.A jury in the US is never going to go against Apple in a case like this.

So much for a jury of intelligent people. Bunch of morons.

What are you doing. Please stop.So much for a jury of intelligent people. Bunch of morons.
Didn't Google sort of throw Samsung under the bus not too long ago on this? I doubt Apple will make the mistake of taking them on in the same fashion as Samsung.

If this is so bad for Samsung that means everyone is getting boned by Apple. This is not good. Not sure why the hell Google cant team up with Samsung and co and go against Apple.

A coca-cola can has a distinct look with the red coloration and cursive script. Same with a Pepsi can with the blue sheen and the two tone look.Shape of the can is the same. I'm cornfused.
