Other places took note of what was happening in Milan, Italy and decided to act because the less deaths obviously the better.
If you measure deaths by per capita then your entire point gets flushed down the toilet not to mention places like South Korea and Sweden which did not have these aggressive measures you're talkin about. And then of course you have New York City having the most deaths in the u.s. by a disproportionate amount even though they had the most aggressive lockdown in the country. You cannot correlate aggressive lockdowns with success against coronavirus.
Yes you can once you lock down and get community spread under control you can eventually bring your numbers low or at zero. Once everyone who got sick is no longer symtomatic and people socially distance etc you can take measures so more people dont get sick. We had zero cases where I live along with quaratine if you go to and from the province for 10 days etc. We had no active cases and as soon as we relaxed our travel regulations it sure as hell came back. As long as restrictions are put in place you can reach a zero number
