COVID 1 in a million chance of death; as risky as taking a bath expert

It's hilarious that you advocate for endless lockdown and put this sentence in, like I and hundreds of millions of healthy people haven't been "restricted on their daily routine."

I am all for giving a helping hand but by this logic, how much of my life do I have to sacrifice so old and fat people don't get sick with a virus? They started with "15 days to slow the spread"... it's been almost six months with no end in sight. This has taken and is taking a toll on me both physically and mentally. Does this not matter? Does my health and the health of hundreds of millions in my shoes not count? Perspective is badly needed here.
Im not sure if your slow or on the spectrum because ive said before that im for people wearing masks and socially distancing whilst numbers are in the low to mid range. If numbers get crazy high again then yeah lock down for two weeks or so to run its course however if people did their owk due dilligence by isolating themselves effectively if they are sick, wear a mask and socially distance then there wouldnt be as much of an issues. As well as companies themselves are requiring masks now

those people need to stay home. they can have friends, family, neighbors or the plethora of delivery services we have these days help them with their day to day stuff, but they absolutely should not be out in public.

those people need to be on lockdown, they shouldnt even be out in public now ATM. and if thats the case, then the rest of us should be able to take our masks off!

unsure if your high risk or not? THEN STAY THE FUCK HOME
I have asthma why should i stay home because your a douche and dont want to wear a mask and socially distance? You dont like it and cant adhere to store policies then you stay home, im fine going out and wearing my mask and socially distancing

well, those massgraves for people who died taking a bath must be well hided, it would be shamefull (here rest in peace after a bath).

At least i know why so many ambulances :D

I’m going out and not wearing a mask. We both have a right to live our lives. You live it the way you want and I will live it my way.

Except when you get to stores that require them and you wont be allowed access without one so have fun with that. You live how you want but in the end your the selfish one, not me. When your right impedes on the safety of others and general public, time to have a seat.

This is the same as no shoes, no shirt policy. I will listen to the stores policies but not the government. I will also have the free will to choose local stores that do not have this policy. That is how Captikism works.

Sure did. It’s my hard earned tax money that foots the bill for these bullshit policies....

Also this is completely unrelated. The government didn’t force me to cash the check. If I was really upset I could on principle not cash the check. It is freedom of choice. Being forced to wear a mask and not work is no choice.

open up and Let the business owners dictate how they run their business.

Where are you still locked down?

State of Oregon Is still locked down. Multonamh county(Portland) does not have inside dining and you have to wear a face mask while in a office.

People cannot even go visit the city because most places public bathrooms are closed. Oregon has some of the lowest number of any state yet every week the governor puts a list of the bad counties that are on her list, subsequently removing the ones that have been “good”

California, Los Angeles county Is not opening anytime soon. The governors set demands that are near impossible to meet.

Lock downs do not work. That is a fact.

I don't even know what you are talking about. Are you american?
My simple and frankly stupid reply to your stance would be 'how many WTCs do you want to sacrifice?'. Is that something that would bother you? Something really easy to repel? Try a real lockdown and see if you do a bit better than you are doing now. The world doesn't revolve around you.

The cities with the strictest lockdowns had the worst mortality rates in America, and you're totally dodging everything else I said, you seem highly disingenuous.

As if a lockdown could or would be fully enforced, not with some of the insane people yelling about restrictions from minute 1.
I'm sitting in a train, everybody is wearing masks and we have 9334 people dead in a country of 83 million.
We're doing something right, even if we don't know for sure what it is.
And now we have this twerp telling us some shit about taking baths during Corona.

What was the Corona relief offered by your government? How was job security money paid out, and in which percentage from your usual salary? What relief were businesses supported with to cover their base costs? What restrictions were loosened for non-essential workers, in which sector, and when?
Should those questions remain unanswered you will have loons on the street yelling about not wearing masks.

I'm out, laters.

WTCs? The World Trade Center? You’re comparing a the spread contagious disease to a terrorist attack. Did you think that was a good point when you were writing it?
Obviously I should have spelled it out for you: How many dead people does one need to think that something should be done?
I was talking about deaths, not the act itself.
Some countries are handling it very differently and they are looking good, for what it is.

Sure. You mean 6 percent of that number.
He cant complain of dirty pussy anymore. He'll lick em all
The 1% blunder: How a simple but fatal math mistake by US Covid-19 experts caused the world to panic and order lockdowns https://www.rt.com/op-ed/500000-covid19-math-mistake-panic/
Please tell me the reason for the 110 km per hour speed limit here . I challenge you do drive from calgary to kelowna at 110 for 8 hours.
All while most vehicles have 3 plus liter v6 to v8 engines.

Hey breh the +Quote button lets you easily multi-quote within one post.

I know what you were doing. It wasn’t clever. It was idiotic. By that logic, you could say, “How many lives need to be lost before we do something about cars?” Or staircases. Or soda. Or alcohol.

Second largest country in the world you call a small country??

Where the population lives in a total of half a dozen cities each in the millions?
TBF he said population wise, (37 million which is 2 million behind California. Yes the state.) not how big the place is.

The province had over 1million people tested.
As you can see the active numbers are a joke not to mention the number of hospitalized people is steady for months.
Also most if not all deaths are above the age of 80 and occured in care taking facilities

And most those 4.4 mill people live in 2 cities.
Hence why i said big country but most of people live in half a dozen cities

All of this stuff just turns into a political football that both sides toss at each other to blame for one problem or another. One side says they didn't do enough, another side they did too much, one side says the virus isn't that bad, the other says it's the worst thing ever.

I'd bet money that most governments (including european and USA) are fudging numbers and not using consistent categorization. Data analysis, cleaning, and accuracy is insanely hard to get from disparate sources so I'd advise those if you not already infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome or Trump Sycophant Syndrome to press X to doubt any national numbers. Every government in the world has every reason to use their infection and mortality rates as a big ole' dick measuring contest against the US to prove how awesome their imaginary healthcare system/government is.

It's even more likely if your government is filled with useless tankies who can only think in terms of Critical Theory...

I came down with Covid symptoms in March. It laid me up badly for 3 weeks but didn't require hospitalization. Was a pretty horrible experience, but so what you might say? Well here's the kicker: 5 plus months on I'm still sick with chills, sweats, and gastric issues amongst other "fun" symptoms. 5 long months of an endless carousel of rotating symptoms where everytime you feel like its going away it comes back and the cycle starts all over.

Been blood-tested and no Covid or anti-bodies found, and there's very little research done on the so-called "long tail" syndrome that of you bother to look into it isn't that uncommon even amongst people who didn't have severe initial infections, so there's no treatment pathway to hope for.

Its no joke. Its real, and if you think otherwise you're kidding yourself. Wear your mask and keep your distance, its not that hard.

Which is what we do. Banning drugs? Speed limits? Building regulations?

So you think all your person to person interactions require regulation? Is that your position? Because that’s what we are talking about. You believe it is the role of government to regulate all interaction between people.

Not sure I enjoy GAF these days anymore. The fact that human lives have been lost all over the world and people just want to shrug them off as stats to keep their precious economy moving, or push their political agendas, or just be dicks is beyond disgusting. This thread is dumb, we get it, you don't believe COVID is anything (Easy to feel that way from a country not ravaged by it), but saying people being concerned are fear mongering is just dumb. This is a possible once in a lifetime bad event and we should just ignore it and fuck off the people who have died/will die.

Don't bother quoting/arguing, I'll be blocking this stupid thread anyway.
Stupid precious economy. Can you believe fathers like me wanting to be able to provide for and feed my children? Pfff who needs the economy.

Why doesn't every single car and car ad make mention of the possible risk of death ?

Where are the signs on bridges telling people not to jump?

Why do we need idiotic guidelines and warnings about COVID fucking EVERYWHERE?

YEAH WE GET IT ALREADY. SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT.

What the fuck makes COVID so special??
If this world tried to brainwash people they way they have with COVID we probably coulda ended racism, murder, cancer, famine, etc, fucking 5 times over already.

I wonder why being fat leads to worse outcomes.

Quick lets find a way to blame this on politics and racism and not peoples lack of persona responsibility and welfare for their own health and bodies.

It’s because some people don’t have options to healthy food. So they have to go to Macdonald’s and order 3 Big Macs and extra large fries 5 times a week.

now this makes sense. They were protesting the McD's and the black employees to stop the spread of CV.

So does that include only the 6% of deaths actually caused by COVID-19, or the 94% of deaths caused OF COVID-19 but due to the infected having preexisting condition/co-morbidities as per the CDC's own official research has concluded?

Because I for sure would think such a "scary virus" would be responsible for more than simply 6% of total claimed deaths, right? At this point I'm ready to call this shit for what it is: a psyop, that's greatly exaggerated the impact of a slightly more virulent flu strain, particularly among those with underlying conditions before even catching it (or just being generally unhealthy).

My condolences go out to all who have died regardless because of this illness, but the CDC and government greatly exaggerated the response to this and now the economy has been severely damaged. Due to their measures in "stopping" the spread (which conveniently they forgot to implement AT ALL for these "protests", btw), people who were already on the edge ended up losing everything and thus suicide rates increased. This is all on the fault of the CDC, government, and corporations that stupidly over-responded to this flu strain, full stop.

So when are we gonna start seeing protests against those guys for the damages they've caused our economy and livelihoods? Wake me up when that happens, this clown world shit is getting boring.
I thinks it's called liability. The governments gotta double down because they fucked up too much already. Also don't forget that on top of having 2.6 comordities on average, that 50% of the victims ARE 2 YEARS OR OLDER (states)than life expectancy. At the age of 79 you have 5.3% of dying anyway every year and that gets higher rapidly every year. I use 79 because that is life expectancy in the states(it varies from place to place).

Where do you live? If you have an incompetent goverment then well next vote time vote better. My friends have been getting 2,000 a month for jobs shut down or lost. Hell a few even got essential working jobs in the meantime because the demand was obviously high and can make up to 1,000 on too of that 2,000 to bring in 3,000 a month. Some are making more now than they were before.

People die because of pre-existing illnesses that get more serious while being infected with "Corona". So they die "with" Corona not "because of" or due to having an old age that is generally more susceptible to diseases.

Another problem is that many people dont know that they have pre-existing illnesses and thats why they underestimate corona.

So wearing a mask, keeping distance and washing hands regularly (even after toilet) means saving those people with pre existing illnesses or older people. You can even save yourself because you may have a undetected pre-existing illness.

In Germany i know a doctor who told us already that earlier in the beginning they had t o write down "Corona" even if people didnt have corona just "symptoms" of it like fever and other stuff. So they were forced to lie by the government about it. Our "Covid Department" in the university hospital is just playing Cards now because they dont have anything to do anymore.
