People are forced to seek out the truth among all the partisan alternative sources because there is no clear definitive source to turn to. Often these alternative sources are breaking stories that mainstream sources won't touch until they gain traction and they can't ignore them anymore. If the info is good the info is good, I agree dubious sources don't lend a story any legitimacy but what even is a legitimate source at this point?

I've heard reports that describe most over there still being vaccine hesitant, maybe even more so than in the west. Their vaccines are traditional I believe and they aren't in a hurry for MRNA ones either. Time to learn Chinese I suppose.

So much disinformation, someone close to me told me the Covid vaccines are going to kill all people who took it in the near future because "the powerful people want to kill everyone who took it for some reason", and since I took it I will die soon. I asked when 1-5-10 years from now, of course, could not answer it. Also, was told I live in a fantasy world because I believe vaccines save lives.

She is 13. A lot of countries are outright not even authorizing the vaccine for those under 18. Even the WHO went from clearly recommending against it to more recently taking a softer position about not having enough data to make a recommendation.

That’s presumptuous unless I’m missing something. I’ve personally extubated a lot of patients after many weeks on ventilators. We have had several patient who spent upwards of 50 days on ECMO and trached on vents who were eventually weaned off ECMO and off the ventilator. So while thing may seem grim, if she’s stable, my experience has been that eventually they can recover. Especially younger people.

What are you not getting? There is no consensus about vaccinating children and it's increasingly looking like a bad idea on a population level. This reality does not change just because you live in a country that is recklessly recommending it for ages 12+ and soon to be even lower soon, most likely.
