CRC Error, running CHKDSK on the drive finds nothing wrong with the drive.

I keep getting CRC errors when transferring files onto my portable HD(MP3 player) and when I eventually get all my songs onto it some of the songs don't play or they stop half way through.

I ran chkdsk on the hard disk and it shows nothing is wrong with the hard drive. Is that typical of HDs that go bad in that fashion that it shows nothing wrong with the disk? I'm a tech moron so I'm not even sure of check disk is even meant to find errors in the HD itself or in the files stored on the HD.

Wtf dudes

Is this still the same problem from the other thread?

Anyway, if you ran scandisk with physical (thorough) option (or in XP, properties-tools-error checking) and still found no errors, then something in the circuit board is fucked. It might be the memory as Burger said. In any case, that mp3 player is good as dead.
