Unless the person is a really, really good actor, if they get over-exposed outside the movie arena it's really hard to relate to or like the character they are trying to play in the movie. It's all about suspension of disbelief so if you can't get past their real life antics their character is out the window.

Hopefully I won't be thinking about what a douche Tom Cruise is during WotW... he's a pretty good actor, we shall see.

You have to wonder what sort of reaction the TV show was going for. I'm struggling to think of anything funny.

At least with Dennis Pennis or that shakey hands guy you get to see how stupid some celebrities are or take the piss out of them or make you go "OMG I can't believe they're going along with this!", but this is just confusing. They're either going to do what Tom Cruise did, hit the guy, walk off straight away or, in a rare situation, find it funny. The last one is the only one which has any mild amusement to it, but not much and how many celebrities are going to appreciate having water squirted over them when they're all dressed up and possibly have make up on that can run etc.
