Disappointing.
In a way I was kind of expecting this but I really thought they would try to optimize the game a little better for PS3 (I have no 360 so I can't compare).

In a way I was kind of expecting this but I really thought they would try to optimize the game a little better for PS3 (I have no 360 so I can't compare).I hope it's because it's a multiplayer beta. Because when I first tried out Crysis 2 on my PS3 I was pretty blown away. This beta looks far worse however.Disappointing.

What's disappointing is that we are still playing on 2006 hardware in 1013. Never again.

If you are in a squad (Party) when you are matchmaking you have access to squad challenges which have high xp bonuses.
Anyone averaging ~5-10k XP a match wanna join me and reboot-nanosuits/prestige a couple times? I am on 4.5 prestiges right now.

EA aren't forcing Crytek to put MP in the game, Crytek themselves have been obsessed with beating COD since Crysis Warhead (Crysis 1 was obsessed with beating Battlefield).
Plus this is EA partners, so EA can't dictate anything to Crytek.
Ahahahaha. If you don't use your swarmer, they remind you that its available every time you respawn.
However, the announcer gets more and more frustrated and aggresive with you with every additional spawn!
But seriously, fuck the swarmmer. that thing needs a buff or needs to be used with the suit module that wont make it slow you down. There's no alt fire even! The alien weapons on the map are better than that thing.

Man you ain't kidding. This game looks absolutely horrendous on PS3.
I was playing with Motioninjoy Xbox 360 controller emulator with my Ps3 controller and didn't notice any aim assist, but perhpas there could be a slight amount. It's fun using the controller when the game runs around 45-50 fps. Mostly getting around 35-40 fps with everything maxed.

Decided to download PS3 beta to see for myself and it's almost laughable.
It 100% looks like it's running at 480p with absolutely no draw distance.
Not unexpected at all. Still sad that Crytek have made no effort on PS3, it's like they don't even care.
What? Crysis 3 beta on PS3 looks and runs better than Crysis 2. Resolution looks very low but everything else looks nice.

What's with the abysmal PC performance numbers? Could this be the beginning of ps4/720 ports?
Not to mention the UI engulfs half the screen.
It's a Crytek game. On maximum settings they are one of the only games that actually are intensive on hardware.
Yes, that should be around 20-30% smaller. Ideally with the option to go as small as 50%. I'm playing on the PS3 and it's a mess.
Shame, the actual game is fantastic (air stomp is a bit OP), but things like that are going to hurt it among the CoD crowd who expect good image quality.

Also, FrankieOnPCIn1080p playing lowest settings. Game looks swell even on lowest settings, especially since it dramatically raises FPS.
Depends on the game. AMD's speed per matching core is roughly 40% slower than Intel.
If AMD's speed is not adequate, it can be very noticeable, though it doesn't crop up too often outside of RTS/MMO.
Either way it should run ok. Update to the new AMD drivers.
It's not all that fun even when people do stick together.

It has its moments. A nicely placed emp grenade, then a kill feels pretty good.
Is something wrong with my PC. I know my old build is pretty crap by todays standards, but damn, set everything to low, resolution to 1280x720 and can barely get 15fps. I play most new games at medium and get good framerate ;_;. Oh well 1 more day then I can play!

Your CPU is rather dated, and Crysis 3 is a very CPU heavy game. The E8400 is from... 2009?
I know, thats why I am building a new one tomorrow, but this game is insane. All other games are playable.
