I have that same problem. I just beat the boss and the game is always crashing right after. Tried it two times already from the last checkpoint. Always the same result. (on 360 btw)

How were you able to get a screenshot of that without the "Press enter to skip" cutscene prompt coming up? I've tried with both steam and fraps screenshot shortcuts and neither get a screenshot in time.
Think I'm on the last level or so, getting near the end. I gotta say unless it's a spectacular finale I gotta give my bones to Crysis 2 as the winner. Having more open levels is great and all but you also need to have good combat encounters.

It might not be as great as C1, but this is way better than 2 and imo better than FC3 easily. Compared to other recent big name shooters, id take this any day over the completely overhyped Halo 4. Its a bloody great game.

I can get it working but there is a dumbass process to it.
Add Crysis3.exe as a Non-Steam Game, make sure Origin IS NOT running. Launch via STEAM and it will work.
When done, you have to close Origin or STEAM still thinks you are ingame.
If Origin is running when you launch via steam the overlay won't work, STEAM has to launch Origin for it to work.

if you dont press anything the prompt goes away, i spammed the screenshot key and got a few in time with no message
you could also use photoshops content removal thing to get rid of the message, should work well as most of the shot is black

For some reason, though, I thought of them as balls. Like, I Prophet had to become more of a man and prove that he was worthy of his balls... With his squad's names on them... I think I lost the comparison somewhere...Nanomachines...

just wondering, how's the frame rate? im on the 1st mission and i am noticing some stutter.
Under water at the beginning of the swamp level that introduces scorchers. It might be in a cutscene, not sure. Doesn't look quite the same, to put it politely.

From the hi-res screenshots thread, toads are in but unfortunately don't seem to be tessellated or at the very least look nowhere near the tech demo.

Anywhere to report bugs for the PC version? If you spend too much time in the customize loadout screens the game starts to stutter bad. Also, if you select no for some game types in quick match, out will still put you in those game types.
One of the side objectives (cell beacon) in the final level takes you to that location.

Playing on 360, and I'd really be enjoying the MP for this game if it weren't for the awful matchmaking. 11 Australians in a game, 1 American joins the game, game migrates host to them, and fucks up the entire thing. Rinse and repeat forever. Blows my mind that most devs still can't get this right.

Got some work to do so I'm trying to decide whether to finish the game tonight. I just reached the bit where
you finish driving for the second time and wait for a gate to open that lets you into a base where stalkers are attacking. It's the main mission in the area where you do the sidequest involving blowing up the AA system. For further clarification Claire and Psycho just found Rasch, dazed and confused.

just played crysis 1 again...and holy crap that AI is amazing...so damn clever tactical enemy behaviour (dodging, strafing, crouching, hiding, groups etc.)...it´s super challenging but still fair...absolutely no comparison to the cod like cell troups in crysis 2 and 3 (all on normal difficulty)...seems like the more they upgraded the gfx the more they downgraded the AI -_-

I dunno, it might be my eyes but visually the series has gone backwards in the terms of visuals.... There were some scenes in the first one that still rock my shit, and nothing really like that (So far) in the new ones. (Like leaving the ice bubble to find the jungle with partial snow cover around the edges.)
It's because it is always compared to the original, which beats every other FPS that was released this generation.
When you release a first game that good, if the sequels don't surpass it or even meet it, they look worse than they actually are. Even though Crysis 2 and 3 are better than the majority of FPS games released.
Yeah this what Crytek never understood. It wasn't about just the graphics. It's about how you present them. Everyone was stunned the first time they went into the alien ship. Nothing like that in sequels.

I feel like the last leve l in c3 had some of that suace from The Core.
#The Core though is one of the things that will probably never be bested. It felt so damn alien and looked so unique.

Huh. I distinctly remember staring at some trees using pixel accurate displacement mapping in the third map. You can even enable/disable them with r_silhouetPOM, I think.

And about GI, You havent noticed it on Your comparison? Seriously? 2:36 is probably the most evident example, 5:46 is great too.
Also is funny to call it HD console based on Crysis 3 example, when it looks better than any next-gen showed.

Have YOU played Crysis 1 RECENTLY?
It does still look nice but it has a LOT of rough edges. For every breathtaking vista it's possible to find numerous other rough spots which really aren't that flattering. Nearly every single moment of Crysis 3 looks phenomenal and the level of detail is so much higher than what we got in Crysis 1.
Well, Far Cry made a big impact on me in terms of visuals (especially with the patch enabling HDR lighting), but I always recognized the gameplay as poor. As much as people love to hate on Halo, it delivered a much better playing game and highlighted all of the areas where Far Cry was weak.
Also, the Trigen were introduced in Far Cry within the first few missions. 70% of the game has you fighting those awful enemies.
Crysis doesn't bring about the aliens until the last quarter of the game and the scenery shift and combat becomes so different that's its easier to ignore.
I gotta admit, they did one hell of a job on the console version of Crysis 3. In person the differences become more apparent, but it still looks incredibly detailed.
What's most surprising to me is how much better the SP looks on 360 compared to the MP beta. The beta looked absolutely awful on both consoles compared to the PC version but they've managed to include all of the missing features in the campaign.
What PC today has to offer is mostly console games in HD. Higher resolutions, AA, sharper stuff etc. That's it.
I just cringed reading that, that's the natural progression of additional power! AA, AF, FPS, Resolution are very important things to the overall look of a game along with more render power to saturate a scene and up the effects. That is exactly what the next generations of consoles will be doing, because what else is there to do?
