CYBERPUNK 2077 |OT2| The Last Samurai [>56K Warning_]

I fucking love it but I think i'm going to drop it and return net year. I can take cars flying across the map for no reason, the texture pop in, the frame pacing, NPC's walking on air, falling through the world and auto loading into and endless fall, missing QoL stuff, really simple standards not being met etc, I can even take having to reload saves a few minutes cause something glitched out like being inside Panam (but not in the way I wanted) while driving but I can take the controls sometimes just not working. It's multiple times an hour sometimes nor can I take over lapping dialogue. I just had Deliman call me while I was already on the phone to the badlands fixer who force called me as well while I was talking to Panam and this has happened a few times now, usually only two overlaps but loosing controls, not being able to choose dialogue randomly, not being able to zoom etc, that's unforgivable it a game like this. 30 hours though and I still haven't gotten that far so I still get a LOT of fresh content when they finish this next year. Pity though, I'm loving some parts of it so bloody much.

Might as well give BoTW my forth try and hopefully figure out what all the fuss is about.
Good decision if you feel that way, come back when more fixes and DLCs are released, it will certainly only get better with time.

Playing this on XSX. A few crashes but nothing more than expected with an open world game. One thing I find weird is that I reached level 50 street cred, but only mustered just 24 levels. I'm hoping more legendary Cyberware is added with future patches/dlc. I will probably reroll perks once I fully upgrade weapons with my crafting perks.

Do you have to make sure to save before each hour is up, or does the service handle it for you?
It's just running an instance of Steam with your account, so it will behave like local Steam and create save to your cloud saves. They have a timer that warns you, so you'd have time to save easily. Free Tier is good for sitting around on a phone doing some side missions, or if you just want to sample the service. If you were going to play through the whole game, you'd definitely want to do the $5/month Founder's Sub.

P.S.- When I synced the game it had an option to use your GoG account version of the game, too.

I don’t want to read this thread to avoid spoilers, but a quick question if I may - do missions expire after the act changes? Or can I do all non-story missions whenever I please?

Lmao, I wish I could screenshot on my chrome book. Just got a comment that said the hate is from "libtards not wanting their future socialist dystopia exposed" on youtube. I mean he has a point but fuck, lmao. Garry the fucking prophet in real life. People just can't accept this game is unfinished across all platforms, even high end PC's.

someone said power jump or double jump, well power jump needs to be charged means its taking time , so you cant run and jump like with double jump. that answered it for me.

Is it just me or is there a large number of Green clothing items in the game? Has this ever been explained or is there a setting/choice I screwed up on somewhere?

Just finished the prologue and I can't praise the game enough.

60 fps with shit-ton of details on every - room place - corner i don't think any game have so much details like this game.

And yeah I love the covering system it's so dynamic.

Fuck 4 legs flights i don't have time to play it more

reached street cred max. its just for what upgrades you can buy and when they unlocking for you. so i can now buy everything with enough money .

feeling good after 50hrs in game. good time, not bored still for sure. did more main quests now and then more side and then plenty just activities around .
and that means you can lvl up to lvl 60 if lvl 30 is 50% as it says.

I mean, this is lovely for you. But what hardware is this running at? What control scheme? Resolution? Bit more info wouldn't hurt!

That's awesome to hear! It seems the PC version is being praised, the base consoles (and even the upgraded, last-gen consoles) are being dogpiled but the next-gen versions, even though its essentially backwards-compatibility at this point, are going overlooked.

Really nice to hear some positives, man.

Man, this ending is
like getting a bucket of cold water thrown on you. Straight up 6 month death sentence.

And sounds like none of the endings actually give you a way to "save yourself" as Pondsmith himself said the cyberpunk genre was all about

Completed the first act, and it was pretty awesome. Beautiful locations, great scenarios and thrilling story. The main quests and these characters are so good, that I don't want to finish them too quickly. So guess I'll be doing a lot more side activities in Act 2.

I thought you hated shooting in games :p
I hate aiming in games. Smart weapons don't need aiming :D

I just wanted to say: This is one of the easiest Game of the Year-choices ever. Im 28 hours into the game and there wasn't a single second of filler-content, it was pure fun all the way. The writing and (German) voice acting is so good, probably the best in any video game. People behave like real people. And I can't wait to replay the game. First run as a street kid. I'm still unsure if I want to go for a tech-nomad completionist run next or a corpo-asian ninja bitch run focusing on blades. As I play the game, I keep thinking "this should be made into a movie", but then I realize: No, this already is BETTER than a movie, because it has movie-like presentation and writing, but with the added benefit of a video game's immersion.

Honestly, I feel sad for the people shitting on this game, be it because they can't play it on PC or because they're pushing some petty agenda. Cyberpunk 2077 is the most important video game since Breath of the Wild. And I'm shivering at the thought of meaty DLC, similar to what Witcher 3 received. Can you imagine a DLC story that introduces flying cars, jetpaks and such? Omg ...

Anyway, gotta return to the game. Cyberpunk 2077 succesfully created an alternate reality that is so realistic and captivating that I hardly ever use fast travel. So good.
For sure two best games this year, HL:Alyx and CP2077 are both effectively gated behind expensive hardware right now, and that's a shame.

While Alyx surely is great, I'm always frustrated when people praise it, because there's sooo many better VR-games. It just happens to be many people's first VR-game due to marketing hype, and now they give it all that praise. I recommend "Here They Lie" for VR, it's such a masterfully done surreal, bizarre experience. Or the X-Wing mission in Star Wars: Battlefield. Albeit only a 15 minute-mission, it has you fly an X-Wing as if it was real, so immersive.

As for expensive hardware: I dunno. I'm playing CP2077 with a RX 580 on my 1080p-tv and it runs perfectly and looks beautiful, and that's an old gpu.

Curious to read your thoughts on the ending:

I haven't played Here They Lie, since I only have VR on my PC, but I am a Day One Rift owner, and I do consume an outrageous amount of VR content and Half Life blew me away. But I am a Half Life fan to start and it was also delivering on this decade old promise as well. But really it is honestly the only VR-only game with anything close to that kind of scope and production value, it's got so many original ideas and a great story. I do love that game.

Steam says I've already played 40 hours. I admit I had my doubts at the beginning, but now I'm so much into this. Story is engaging, side missions are great (especially the ones with River Ward and Panam), graphics on PC are eye-melting, and the music is perfect. I've also been fortunate not to encounter that many bugs (mostly visual; had to reload a save because of broken scripts 2 or 3 times).

Not gonna lie, I really love this game.

Anyway, here's your daily dose of Panam. :messenger_beaming:

Hope I don’t get tired of the combat music, because many hours in, I still think it rocks.

Probably already mentioned, but I do wish there was an option or “upgrade” that allows you to listen to the radio stations while out and about on foot.

Near the end of act 1. I just completed The Heist main story mission. I'm quite impressed. Easy 7/10 so far.
The cyberpunk atmosphere this game is going for is nigh-perfect, and some of the action has been excellent. Nice, little touch I really liked is most of the patrons in the hotel bar having conversations you can eavesdrop in. All lively, interesting. Better than the ones in the prologue (I'm playing Corpo) which were samey. Obviously I know why they were samey but disappointing regardless.
I have encountered some bugs and glitches but nothing as bad as what I've heard - bearing in mind I'm playing on PC with an i7 and 1080.
1) When I parked my car on a slope, the car remained in a horizontal position, its front end a good two feet off the ground.
2) When I met with Dex in his limo, my playable character's arms were floating in front of his face and moving around the car - sometimes obstructing my fov 50+%.
Some of the gameplay elements have left me unimpressed. I don't like being cyberhacked from 100 feet away in a different room without recourse but maybe I suck. I don't like that I don't have as much freedom in choice for non-combat decisions (particularly for using intelligence/tech skill to get around fighting) but again maybe I'm not far enough. The most direct analog is New Vegas since attribute choices provide new avenues sometimes but I don't see any of my stat picks making a big difference yet. All I get is some extra flavor text.

Looks like crafting iconic weapons requires the base iconic weapon as part of the recipe, so if you dismantle it you can’t make a new one

Yesssss! I'm surprised there's no radio option on your phone

Some of these glitches are just crazy

Been ignoring the ot because I don’t want to get spoiled. Still not bored. Stopped doing all jobs and have been focusing on gigs only. I tend to make money really fast.

I also found which I think is the fastes car in the game in a tunnel and it is free. We will have to see.
