Sure. I CAN'T hit the shift key before typing a letter. :messenger_tears_of_joy: You shouldn't have asked yourself if I am able to; but if I cared to. Since I'm outside typing in rainy forty-degree weather, the answer is no. No, I do not care to. Let's focus more on my grammatical errors instead of your nonsensical attempts at reasoning (no period!)

The whole 'main story is short' thing seems a bit pointless. Did it matter to you in Witcher 3 whether you were playing the main quest or side ones? Hell, a lot of times the side ones were more fun. As long as there's a lot of content combined, it doesn't matter to me at all.
Agree. Most of my time with the Elder Scrolls and the newest Fallouts was spent explorign and doing the side content. It's the best way of getting truly inmersed imo.

Even if the main quest IS 12-15 hours long, thats similar length as Elder Scrolls/Fallout main quest lines, and those games are easy 100+ hour games.
As long as there is enough side missions and side content, it will be fine.
Shorter main story is even better. It encourages replaybility and experimenting with different character builds / classes. I personally prefer that.

Resetera has gone mad. I support Trans right but what they do there is lunacy.
Seeing all these people waking up to reality that ResetEra is not a gaming forum

goddamn lol

it really is true though.. I got dogpiled for talking about guns for fucks sake

Sure.

But if any of them use the words 'yikes' or 'problematic' they can fuck the fuckity off again.

my use of the word "yikes" shall not be infringed

There are definitely some "progressive" reviews in there bringing the score down. You see what's going on at Resetera, to these people this is basically like the Trump game.

Had a look at PCGamer review guy, and he retweets socialist and communist stuff like a true comrade. The Gamespot reviewer has pronouns in her bio and spends a lot of time going on about trans issues, like that matters in this game. Then she doesn't like that the story doesn't stop to make some kind of anti-capitalist critique. But Cyberpunk always just takes the fucked up corporate nature of the world as inevitable and just a fact of the future. It doesn't care to explain or critique it, that's not what cyberpunk is about. It's not activist literature, it's science fiction.

Read here and there that you get a lot of side quests through phone calls/ texts from strangers... that's lazy and unrewarding, it's much more organic and fun when you're exploring the map and finding the triggers for the additional content.

I think I’m officially done with Resetera after today. Can’t even have a video game discussion there. It has to extrapolate into other topics and it goes into a wash cycle of shit.

Same here.
Got banned there last week because I asked who exactly is transphobic in CDPR. All of them? The management? The social media guys? CDP Red or all of CDP? It was an honest question, but they banned me for it.

In the other thread they were asking to ban a guy because he didn't respond to their trans questions. In a CP2077 thread lmfao

so are reviewers playing the version that went gold in October?

How likely is it a good number of these bugs are fixed with day 1 patch? 50gigs is pretty fucking beefy.

Am kinda on the fence about day 1-ing now on ps5 but it sure would make this crapass winter easier.

If you ever wander why Resetera cant acept different view hate free will and different peoples opinion....is because Resetera is a communist website in disguise ( with a mixture of transmania)

Oh no!

Anyway

These comments about trans rights in a game that specifically

- Let’s you play a trans character
- Displays trans women as sexy, confident and equal

Sure are gonna make devs think again before trying to offer trans equality in their game.

If the new Spyro game (for example) tries to cater to transgender folk, and does it ‘wrong’ it’ll be transphobic.

If the new Spyro game is just a normal fuckin Spyro game it’ll avoid the criticism.

I don't find it transphobic, personally. But I'm not part of that group. I have empathy for those who have lived a different life path and do my best to understand that I won't be able to see things exactly as they do. They say the imagery overly sexualizes transgender people and turns them into something less than human. So I can understand being critical of that, even if it doesn't strike me the same way. It's similar to how people who aren't black (or maybe just people who ARE white) are forbidden from singing along with a certain word in certain songs. Completely nonsensical to me, but I'm also not part of a group that has a special relationship with that word. So I choose to respect their feelings.
Sure, but who is "they", I am not sure if Trans people outside of ResetEra and Twitter have a problem from it. I would like to see review from such person. Because, I honestly don't see anything degrading, mostly I see normalization of such thing.

Witcher 3 also had bugs at release. I am sure CDPR will fix most of them. If only I could get my hands on next gen hardware. Will jump on bandwagon in 1-2 months. Hopefully most of the bugs are fixed by then

Am i taking crazy pills or does this complaint from the gamspot review actually sound fantastic?

But then it's hard to get into Cyberpunk 2077's world in general. So much of it is superficial set dressing, and there's so much happening all around you--ads going off at all times, gunfights breaking out in the streets, texts coming in about cars you'll never buy--that a lot of the game feels superfluous.

shouldnt we want an open world game to be more dynamic?

Getting back to the actual review content, I am surprised and intrigued to find that
Johnny Silverhand is a figment of your imagination. This must be why it was so easy to give Keanu more lines. Getting Joker in Arkham Knight vibes from this, which was a lot of fun.

Yeah I know you did a tag but didn’t expect an actual real life spoiler in the review thread

If you're talking about black chamber I believe he did eventually get banned.

I mean... half of my random adventures come from people calling or texting me with crazy shit they wanna do.

And this is 57 years from now.

That Polygon review is the shaping up to be the biggest dumpster fire trash sculpture I've ever seen, and I've seen s few lol.

CDPR have defo ruffled a ton of dingbats feathers, I love it.
I'm thinking of buying CP2077 right now just becuse of that.

Hell, I might even buy some extra copies and gift them on ERA.

True.

It's a difficult one though, as they probably want people to experience the content and they have to communicate the quests to players that are more linear in their approach.

I don't think it's lazy. Perhaps, more 'realistic'.

The thing about the glitches, if these are graphical and not game breaking such as crap like this...

car-bug-1607292164154.jpg

Uh....I'm ok with that. It will get fixed.

See, I'm more than okay with it. I fucking love shit like that. Makes me laugh my tits off when it happens. Some of the bugs in Witcher 3 had me howling. Roach once took off like a fucking rocket when I tried to climb onto her. Couldn't stop laughing for a straight ten minutes. It's all just extra enjoyment from a game in my book :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Yeah, there's a whole story behind him and some other guys that were in a band, my Bro read the books a few years ago and was telling me all about what happened...

Sounds like a pretty cool story TBH. I wonder if the game will be able to tell all those stories effectively though.

1. Are these reviews post day one patch?
2. What difficulty did the reviewers play on (if there are difficulty levels)

But it is kinda bad considering the immersion is one of CDP's main concerns.

I'm all for trans representation, but surely this cannot be the deciding factor in a review? At least 18 mentions on Polygon's review.

The games media always looked at CP2077 not as an RPG but a standard bearer for their degenerate ideology. The coverage was always so focused on how many penises you can attach to your MC, who you can have sex with, how many trans people can you have, etc.

Seems like CDPR did a pretty good job of stringing them along over the years, heh nothing personnel sjw

Based on what I have seen, I think Cyberpunk is so overrated but this cancel culture around it is disgusting. I haven't even followed all the drama around Cyberpunk but if you can't even discuss the game, what's the point of having a forum, which is supposed to be an exchange of ideas around games. I was banned multiple times on Resetera for stating my opinion that the mods didn't like. It's not a forum. They don't like diversity. It's a cult that peddles the same ideas. You can get banned for stating an opinion against the established ones.

Even some of the reviews on Cyberpunk are laughable. One review was talking about Trans representation and the working conditions at CD PROJEKT RED. I can't believe these reviewers are paid for that. We live in a world where everybody is so easily offended and expect fucking videogames to push their own fucking social agendas. What videogame should we cancel next?

Let's be real here.

We can cherry pick about SJW reviewers and all that stuff but let's not ignore the reviews that gave the game high scores despite the amount of bugs.

I think it's safe to say the sjw and bug-excuse reviews even each other out

I presume some just ignore the bugs and rate the game as if it there were minimal bugs as this is what the game will be in 4-5 months time. People in 4-5 months time will come back and look at the reviews, if they rate the game down for bugs and glitches then it will create problems further down the line for people who wanna experience the game in a year or so.

On one hand I think it is valid to take points from a game because it has too many bugs. People are reading the review to see if it is worth to buy it now.

On the other hand this is absolutely nothing in the bigger picture. CD Projekt will surely fix most bugs in the next months. How many great RPGs from the past, specially from the 90s, had a huge amount of glitches and today are celebrated as masterpieces by fans.

They’re playing with a portion of the day 1 patch. According to Yongyea.
