I know but I expected more from the guys who made The Witcher 3 after all this time.
TW3 sits at a 92 on MC, which means that there were some reviewers who weren't that positive on it, including (and this is very relevant here) Jeff Gerstmann. So if you're looking for opinions on this game, the Giant Bomb guys are probably not the guys you should be looking towards. But despite that MC score (which is fantastic btw), it's lauded as one of the best games ever made. And don't forget TW3 has a lot of bugs and issues on release.
Driving is apparently barely usable, it's a FPS slideshow.
The performance issues will be fixed in time. That's a given.
People on the street repeat the same sentences, you can't enter the buildings. You've got a star system for police like in GTA. It doesn't look deep at all. They say you don't need the perks and customization because you can kill everybody easily with the guns you found or even with melee. AI is braindead too. When I hear that I have trouble understanding how the game still got 90 metacritic actually... I thought it was supposed to be an evolution of open world games, not a rehashed mix of existing open world games.
All I can say is play for yourself. Not everyone is going to have the same issues others have. Again going back to TW3, it's combat is trashed on by people all the time, but it's the characters, story, sidequests, and world that made people fall in love with it. Perhaps the positives just really outweigh the negatives here.
