An unrelenting onslaught of eye-popping visuals, ear bursting soundscapes and mind-melting action makes CYGNI the vanguard for the next generation of Shoot-em Ups.

Outgunned and outmanned, plunge into a sky teeming with danger in a last-ditch battle for survival. Choose to route power between weapons or shield systems and go up against unrelenting waves of ground and aerial enemies. Upgrade your ship by picking up new tech and take down colossal alien bosses in visceral combat; do whatever it takes to survive.

CYGNI is an exhilarating space shooter elevating the genre to a truly next-generation experience.

Encamped within the remains of a long-lost civilization on the planet CYGNI, Earth forces are decimated by a surprise attack from a powerful, biomechanical, alien race. As one of the last pilots on the last carrier in the fleet, you are the only line of defence against the unyielding alien bombardment.

Looks interesting. I won't poo poo their "it's not that bad to get hit" mechanic until I try it. Visually it looks cool. If the encounters are mechanically diverse and interesting, it might be fun. If the whole game is just a big "no fail mode" then maybe not.

I'll definitely be picking this up, and I am not complaining about a new IP from Konami, but why didn't they resurrect Gradius?

Hopefully Cygni will do well, and that can be next. The thought of a (relatively) big budget Gradius really appeals to me.

Waiting on review because while it looks spectacular it’ll all come down to gameplay and length.

Not sure this is the next best thing for shmup fans to move the genre forward.

I have been yearning for a classic style sci-fi schmup with modern day graphics for quite some time. This looks like they're finally nailing what I've dreamed of for years now.

This was the first videogame I ever owned.... Astro Warrior (the 1st stage theme still slaps!)

to this....

We've come a long way...

I'm really looking forward to this.

I'm a somewhat newer shmup fan, but I really hope we can get more stuff like this.

Despite being interested when it was first announced, that Steam demo put me off, and I like a lot of Euroshmups.

The dev, who posts on the shmups forum, said they took the feedback to heart. Hopefully it turns out good.

He also confirmed PS5 & Xbox Series X = 60 fps. Xbox Series S = 30 fps.

Yeah, I wasn't too keen on the demo. Too much going on in the background for it's own good. Felt like I needed an extra set of hands to control this game. Enemy fire hard to see. Then the dreadful UE stutter problem. Here's hoping it's a good game, because despite the initial problems I had with the demo I hope the developer sorted it all out.
