D&D seems a bit different lately…

Funny how adding inclusion and diversity doesn't expand the popularity of a hobby but drives the majority away. It's a hostile takeover disguised as spreading peace and love.

Weirdos and freaks invade hobby
"You need to make this hobby more inclusive!"
Hobby made more inclusive.
Hobby is ruined.

Every. Single. Time.

this is why you don't welcome everyone into the things you love.

Now I obviously say this as someone who loves a trans woman and all but yeah this is beyond parody at this point.

D&D has become a cringe inducing joke with pride parades, wheelchairs, coffee houses and monster friendly Thanksgiving dinners.

I actually am completely turned off of it now. Really sad.

Now I heard Warhammer 40k is going to allow female Space Marines too.

It's kinda scary how virulent this movement is. Its entire existence relies on exposing more people to their lifestyle, its only principle is to use the host to make more particles. As such, any creation is used to assert their identity onto others.

When will it stop?
When the non-pozzed members of society grow a set of balls and finally realize that not everyone deserves respect, representation, or even to be included as part of society.

They are an abomination that goes against God and have forsaken everything natural. Their lifestyles preclude them from reproducing traditionally, so they have to reproduce in the same method as parasites.

Invade. Corrupt. Multiply.

Deeply disturbing and deeply evil.

I like the irony of mutilating something and pretending it's something else even though everyone knows it's not.

Stop buying Wizards of the Coast stuff.

THIS is why we can't have a Dark Sun reboot, the setting isn't "problematic" now and it never was.
Just as well, I don't want to see what these retards would turn my beloved Athas into.

WOTC chugged heavily on the Sweet Baby's bottle

Sad Happy Hour GIF

I do hope it drives away the players, so they can actually come back to make proper games, but it will take a long while for that.

It's almost as if cramming diversity into something is ultimately divisive

They clue was in the name all along

Interesting to see how at this point there's been a strong pullback in certain (entertainment) areas/industries, yet WotC still think it's smart to go all out.

Eh, I don't think there's anything wrong with having art of different styles to imply different tones for how people could run their games.

There's still plenty of traditional fantasy art used for the game. As an example, this is from the latest player's handbook.

And this is the cover of the starter set that was released last month

You have to wonder why the people in suits arnt asking "So when does this start making us money?" Seem bonkers to keep doubling down on this.

It's not just this though. It's multiple things

The neutering of the Vistani in the Strahd re-release a few years ago, the "humanization" of Orcs, hell a lot of the racial changes really. And there's more as well, but those ones really stand out.

Don't forget the Battle Wheelchair!

Don't forget the Battle Wheelchair!

I hate that just as much as I hate that fucking wheelchair in WoW.

World of Magic and damn near endless possibilities.

Cripple character has a wheelchair instead of having the problem fixed with magic.

It makes. No. Sense. Good luck getting that fucking wheelchair in an ancient dungeon filled with steps and ledges

That is terrible marketing.

Saw this last night and just rolled my eyes.

Imagine if they used AI to make this or a real person had to draw it.
