Moana has a musical team of Opetaia Foa'i, Mark Mancina and Lin-Manuel Miranda. That gets me much excited than Gigantic (altough Gigantic sounds good.)

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!

Voicing Maui, is the next surprise guest...

He can create islands by using his hook to pull them out of the sea

He can change shape and carries a magical giant fish hook

He's covered in tattoos and they're actually animated themselves in the film

Maui is a legendary demi-gold and also one of the characters

Tui is Moana's father and he's the Chief

MOANA explains why that happened

In actual history, the people of the South Pacific were known for their incredible ability to navigate. 3,000 years ago, however, the navigators stopped before resuming 1,000 years later
(Yeah, you have to read it bottom-to-top)

Awesome news with Dwayne Johnson.

It was a huge disappointment for me and almost single-handedly killed my wife's love for Disney. Considering she's a life-long Disney fan, that's not an easy feat.
Curious to hear what she didn't like about it to cause such a reaction?
I'm pretty worn out on Tangled, to be honest.

I can understand that reaction but it's still a pretty impressive how well the film turned out considering it's long troubled production.

Some more stuff about the ocean as a character:
As a child, Moana meets the ocean on a beach. It's not personified in any way, but the water shifts to greet the young girl, building a dry path that she walks along, watching creatures within the sea around her
The scene ends with Moana as an adult, standing against the sunset and clutching a shell that the ocean gave her
Sound great already.

I should have her post at some point, but for starters, she hated the attempts at humor that felt like something out of Shrek rather than classic Disney humor. She REALLY hated the prince and the horse. She liked Rapunzel when she wasn't hitting people with a frying pan and she liked a couple of the songs, but that's about it.
