I stopped watching this after the episode with the poison in the nunnery. Is it worth it to finish this up?

Does Dan Brown have anything to do with this show or just a naming coincidence?
If you aren't a fan by the episode with Dracula, just go away.
Seriously, that episode with Dracula... fuuuuuuuuuuuuck, it's good.
Bear McCreary gave himself a very difficult task when writing the theme music for this Starz series about a young Leonardo da Vinci: he maid the opening titles music a palindrome it sounds the same whether you play it forwards or in reverse a nod to da Vincis legendary backward writing.
The composer aimed to write a theme that was melodic and memorable and sort of felt like a renaissance version of a superhero theme because Im working with [The Dark Knight trilogy producer] David S. Goyer. And da Vincis imagination and his mind hes so far ahead of everyone else its sort of like a super power.
Goyer paid McCreary the ultimate compliment when he heard the demo of McCrearys music for the show: The producer liked it so much that he decided to extend the opening credits so the music could play twice. Originally about 35 seconds long, the main theme music was extended, and Goyer put the graphics artists back to work designing another half-minute of opening credits. That main title design (which you can watch below) also picked up an award at the Creative Arts Emmys.
For McCreary, validation that he had created catchy main titles music actually came from Goyers six-year-old son. The producer played the demo at home while his son was in the room one morning, then that night, as Goyer was tucking him in bed, his son began to hum McCrearys music.
Up next for McCreary: another show in the realm of superheroes Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ditto.Sweet. Looks like there might be a lot of spoilers in that trailer, though, so I probably won't watch it.
Creator and executive producer David Goyer promised the Da Vinci's Demons faithful that Starz's Renaissance man of action would be traveling in the second season of the series. He wasn't kidding: Da Vinci (Tom Riley) and other characters will encounter 15th-century drama all over Italy, but also inwhen the show returns in the spring.South America, with Machu Picchu as a key locale
"I always pitched Starz that the show would ultimately be kind of a road show," Goyer says. "I described it as this secret history of the man who invented the future and, by extension, the secret history of the world. That means you can't just stay in Florence."
Thesetting provides an opportunity to "lean into the Raiders of the Lost Ark stuff, but da Vinci himself is in a much more obsessive, darker place this season," says GoyerMachu Picchu
He concedes that Starz was a little nervous at first about the new penchant for globe-trotting. But "they saw the first cut of a couple of episodes, and they loved it. Then they said, 'Wow. Now we're cool if you take da Vinci anywhere.' "
anyway does anyone know how many episode season 2 going to be?
I took a quick look and couldn't find a number. *shrugs*Er, I think it's 10.

From the IGN report at NYCC:Weird. I've seen her in a Colombian show.
Is she gonna be in this a lot, like a series regular?
Regarding Guerras new character, shes a high priestess from the Inca Empire. According to the actress, shes essentially royalty -- the most powerful woman in the Inca hiearchy. And it sounds like a portion of the S2 will take place in Peru, actually. A visual effects scene was already shot there, and Goyer says a good chunk of the season will also be set there.
This is... before, right?Conquistadors basically raped the continent
Anyone know if the US blu-ray is region free? My google skills have failed me so far, so I haven't found any info on whether or not it is region free.
It's Region A/1
Count Riario looks ridiculous with those sunglasses.

Are you nuts?
Those are baller as fuck.
Lost interest midway through season 1. The guy playing Da Vinci was just too much of a lightweight for the character he's playing. No screen presence at all. Same problem I had with Banshee.
Later than I thought it would be, but good to have a date.
Also, it's interesting that Starz is now programming on Saturdays as opposed to Fridays. I wonder what their reasoning is for that?
