My main issue isn't boring, but some lines really toe the line of cheesiness really hard. I get that a lot of the sound they're aping is cheesy, but still.

I do like it overall.

A majority of the complaints I've read in this thread since this afternoon have been people saying they didn't like it because it was "too boring" or didn't sound like "Homework/Discovery-era Daft Punk." One person even said that Daft Punk was best when they were sampling music and shouldn't try to make "real" music again as he put it. If you don't like the album then fine. It's your opinion. However, let's not try to bullshit each other and act like people aren't complaining because it isn't another Discovery.

I hated AVD at first but grew to really like it. chances are lower but i will have to see if that happens with this

It definitely is cheesy in spots. Real cheesy.

I like that stuff, old pop music and all that so I'm okay with it, but yeah, they lay it on thick in spots here.

Makes sense. Touch has a certain floydian ambition to it, and Andrew Lloyd Webber stole the main riff from Echoes for Phantom of the Opera.
