"I just keep laying back
These fragments of time
And everywhere i go
these moments so shine"

Is that from an actual song? Are these vocals that'll be on a RAM track?
I'd say yes. Paul Williams sung a bit from his song during an interview last year, and the lyrics were, "touch, feelings came, touch, I remember...".
Giorgio Moroder's spoken word bit is about his recollection of different decades and different times of his career.
So, the theme of 'memory' is coming through incredibly strongly in just the little bits of the album we know.

Fucking HSUNBFGAJOV.

I don't know how you guys can type coherent sentences when it comes to this album, my hype levels are OFF THE CHAIN.

Superheroes is my personal favorite, but it's iffy breaking up that album at all because PERFECTION.

I can't help but get up and move when I hear Superheroes, and I always get a huge grin on my face and the beat and yeah. I fucking love. that. song.

Yeah its perfect album.

Something About Us is so good. Its such a romantic sounding song. Even if there were no lyrics, it would still sound very romantic.

Todd Edwards went on some mind trippy vision quest with Daft Punk. These collab videos are brilliant and my excitement is...it just is, brahs.

My god, that little guitar harmonic at 0:06 in the Todd Edwards video is making me so wet.

I also love how there are real (or real sounding) drums and handclaps at the Get Lucky clip at the start, and at the end it's back to those vintage drum machine kicks and crushed hi hats. So good.

put me in the superheroes is fucking amazing and the best thing daft punk has ever done camp

that is all

We are getting a new Daft Punk album and Arrested Development Season 4 next month.
Best...month..of all...time...My dick's hard just thinking about this.

After the suckiest winter ever, I'm so happy that it's getting warm, and I'm gonna walk around with new Daft Punk on my phone.

I'm crazy late, but am just now getting into Daft Punk. I knew their most popular songs like Around the world, Harder, Better, and the Tron soundtrack, but haven't heard their other albums until now. I came across this live set:

And it makes me want to be there so bad. Everything about it is so fucking sick, the transitions, the lights, the drums, it's so mesmerizing. Is there any HD footage around of live performances like this? Can't find any on youtube it's all 480p or less.

That is pretty hype.

With a reputation as innovators, Daft Punk have never really played by the rules. Even still, reports that the French duo are set to unveil their much-hyped forthcoming album Random Access Memories in a town with a population of 2,000 has come as a particular shock. According to the Herald Sun and triple j, Daft Punk are set to host their “global album launch party” in the Australian town of Wee Waa, situated in the North West of regional New South Wales.

Wat.

You know, I'm not sure how I feel that this album is apparently so collaborator heavy...

I think instead of sampling from existing songs they've decided to collab with people, make them produce pieces of music, and then sample that. I think the album will be awesome. They've been working on it since 2010. This wasn't rushed.

Yeah I feel the same. When artists do this (only example off the top of my head is Gorillaz with Plastic Beach album) there's usually only one or two songs that I really enjoy and the rest just don't do it for me. It's like a mixed bag. I REALLY hope that's not the case here.

Is he wearing an After Dark 2 shirt?

yes it is.

If this album was really done with all analog equipment, I'm expecting the final product to sound absolutely beautiful. Kids these days are going to learn a thing or two.

You know what, after thinking about it for awhile I would have to say that Discovery is my favorite album of theirs, every track just flows so well into one another. Homework is pretty good and Human After All is pretty good as well, although I have to admit that HAA is definitely an acquired taste and not for everyone.

I know it was made in only a couple of weeks and that they went for a very minimalistic style for HAA, but can anyone tell me what they were inspired by for HAA? What were they trying to evoke other than something that was less lighthearted and more raw than Discovery?

I'm interested to hear it but it's far from my most anticipated. I'm sure it'll have a couple romps, that'll be good enough for me. Anything more will be a nice surprise.

The Wee Waa news is awesome. Tempted to go! I'd be listening to the album over the whole 8 hour drive, though. Planning to pick it up at retail at 8:00 AM in Sydney, and the party starts 12 hours later.

Thomas said that it was not meant to make the listener feel good. I think it's a concept album about our lifestyles and our emotions being dulled by reliance on technology.
