8.5 from OXM. It maybe good too. Not sure if there anymore reviews out for it.
yeah seems like the fall into different niches too -- masters being more ddr and "gamey" whereas central is more about learning and performing actual moves.

Yeah, my complaints about Dance Central are almost niggling -- while I see ample room for improvement, nothing else will have your living room packed full of people dropping it like it's hot. You can even learn a lot of dance moves you wouldn't mind busting out in an actual dance club. I've never played anything quite like it, and I think I'm ready to retire my DDR dance pads permanently, because this is the real revolution.

I really gotta disagree with the people that say the game will let you get away with anything on easy. It can be pretty damn picky about leg placement and shit. Game is hard -- like first time playing guitar hero hard.

Anybody knows what is up with the recall?
My target order got delayed to january and I think that is probably the reason why. It says in the page that the game will ship in 2-4 weeks.

The recall was just a change in the manual. Only target seems to be having problems. People have reported that they have the game street dated for 11/22 or something.

Oddly Amazon has this same date for the kinect wall mount

Want video of someone playing this, NOW.

Quoted because this still needs to happen. I had no idea Days Go By was even in the game. Anyone with the game care to oblige?

Man i really hope they can improve the tech somehow going forward. The best part of games like this is playing together with people. I mean even the the character on screen has backup dancers.

Wait, so is the animated dancer copying your moves or just doing a script you're supposed to follow? I prefer it when the animation mimics you so you can see more clearly when you're doing bad.

Kind of sucks to have to unlock difficulties. Been able to 4/5 star most songs on easy with little difficulty... 5 starred rump shaker on hard though, love that song and the dance moves!

Tip for anyone who is comfortable with dancing already, you can unlock hard on any song by completing hard on break it down. If you're used to dancing, it shouldn't take more than ten or fifteen minutes on each song.

Anyone know the answer to this?

Wow. Ne-yo's because of you is amazing. The choreo is awesome, get that song.

And man. I'm not Gold on XBL, but I'd be 3rd on the leaderboard for Don't sweat the technique if I was....

The real question is, is dance games the only genre who really benefits from kinect? Because so far all the other games doesnt look fun so far...

How does the game's difficulty work? Does it just give more leeway to the moves, or is it more of a detailed choreography, like how Rock Band charts more notes in higher difficulties?

Lots of information on that in here:

This thread isn't about other games, it's about Dance Central.

More and different choreography the higher the difficulty. They start mixing in entirely new moves and such.

I'm not sure if it gives you more leeway, but it will have more moves for you to (harder ones as well) on higher difficulties. The easier difficulties have a lot of repeating moves for 2 sets of 8 counts...

There are three routines for each song - the hard ones add more moves and are more complicated.

Wow I suck at dancing, and really hate dancing in public and I am loving this game.
For those who have played it a bit, do you recommend watching the scrolling moves on the right or just watching the dancers and mimicking them to get a high score? It seems much easier for me to just follow the dancers, and I do not quite get the rhythm of silhouettes on the right.

I try and keep an eye on the flas cards untill I know the entire routine :D

Ahhhhh that sounds awesome. I want this. :| But I don't have a 360, so it would cost me... $450?!

Almost every Dance Central video I've seen so far, they always do Lady Gaga's Poker Face. I've already outplayed it before I have it

No 350. The tard bundle is 300.

edit: not really a tard bundle. It's probably the smarter buy.

I recommend just watching the dancers....also, for me, I got confused at bit at first as to how I should interpret the dancers movements. Think of the dancer as a mirror (i.e. when they are using their right hand you should be using your left hand, and vice versa)

I don't follow. I thought the Kinect+360 bundle was $400? And $50 for game?

It's 400 for the bundle with a 250gb hdd. 300 and it comes with a 4gb... something.

I can't believe I actually kinda want to buy a Kinect for Dance Central. I'm getting sucked into the hype!

Also is the game going to get more songs as DLC like Rock Band does?

So how are you suppose to know how to do the moves if the dancer mimic your wrong move. It would be Rockband highway lane pop up the wrong color code when you hit the wrong button. You look at the avatar like you would look at trainer and mimic his or her move.

very much so I'm guessing....there's not nearly as many songs as a nomral GH/RB release, and it even has a section in the menus called "Buy Songs"

Awesome, I think I'm gonna go buy one tomorrow as a reward for finishing my midterms. Harmonix has me by the balls.
