It's ok, it's not that bad, Junko admits all her plans to the police and she goes to jail, Mukuro then has a long conversation with Naegi and she starts behaving as a normal human that never had to do anything with despair, Izuru discovers how to bring back Hajime and both agree to share the happiest life experiences ever and class 77 goes back to normal

Not only does everyone become despair by watching a video, they also managed to find a way to incorporate "chiaki dying will make everybody become despair" into it too. god damn I hate this

That whole punishment scene was hard to watch regardless though. :(

Oh that, don't worry, the only thing that happens to her is [B]MASSIVE SPOILER[/B] [SPOILER]she's put to run through a maze in an attempt to survive. In the process she gets stabbed in the shoulder by traps, impaled in her thigh, hit in the face by an iron ball and causing her to bleed from her forehead as well as closing one of her eyes, get hit by more traps off screen, have her legs skewered together and another spike up her foot, and the poor girl reaches the exit only to be impaled mukuro style by hundreds of spikes that burst out from the floor.[/SPOILER]

To be fair, he probbaly killed juzo not because of his love but because he betrayed him for hiding the despair.

Kodaka is Kodacka but i don't think he'd go out there with homophobia for a reason of murder.

Why would you word it like that?! >_> That scene between Naegi and Munakata was totally a "Martha!" moment xD So of course they won't reveal what's in the notebook. Are Hajime and the others going somewhere? Finaaaaaally.

I wonder what will happen in the next episode since is supposedly the final one

yeah any emotional response i'd have to shock value at this point has basically run dry. it just feels boring and unnecessary by now.

and like, really? watching chiaki on the worst episode of takeshi's castle is what does them in right away? i don't even know if that's better or worse than the brainwashing video. hope that was worth making her an actual person again, i guess. real lotta dudes getting upset over their romantic interests dying this show huh

glad they confirmed juzo being into kyosuke rather than keeping it ambiguous at least

so this episode basically set up the following final plot points:

- Izuru is basically a good guy. He hasn't killed anyone yet (aside from that one guy he pushed in self defence who then fell on his own weapon) and still has humanity in him as well as memories of Hinata. Looking more and more likely that what we were led to believe in DR2 were lies, and that he is on the good side in Future - and is on the ship along with the other survivors in order to save Naegi and co from.....


- Nagito. He's gone full hope retard.

I wonder what peoples expectations of this anime were coming in. When a magician explains their magic trick of course it loses its excitement. The mystery is gone. Well thats what they said this anime would do. I think people just expected this super disturbing gut wrenching anime and because its not the emotional moments are not as impactful. As much as I like the games they never were super gut wrenching nor disturbing. And while they deal with a dark theme I feel like they do it in a tame manner. I dunno to me what we got is about in line what we expected. I guess its best to leave some mystery there. The games to me seem to do a better job because theres time dedicated to build and flesh out the characters and I think for a lot of people thats the best thing about Danganronpa. So seeing them die has more of an impact. The anime didn't really focus on that nor really had the time. Most of the future foundation characters weren't really fleshed out aside from a handful.

Well. That was heavy.

First off, Juzo just shot way the fuck up in my rankings. I feel really fucking bad for him and I retract anything negative I ever had to say about him. He officially Deserved Better, even if he's still a dumbasshole. Yes, this is all it takes to get me to sympathise with a character hardcore. It's pretty amazing in itself that they were willing to go there, but it's also really sad that it had to end the way it did.

Nanami's torture and execution were really uncomfortable to watch. Everyone's reactions were kinda lame and DR3 Nanami just wasn't as strong a character as SDR2 Nanami, but I was still left in some kind of despair by the end. Rest in pepperonis, sweet child.

Despair Arc redeemed itself slightly in this episode. Slightly.

Not ONLY does Kodaka manage to make Jesus Chiaki Christ dying the reason everyone goes despair, he has to use the stupid video shit too and pointless torture porn. Rofl. Worse then Mind Hacc. kill me.

I'm so disappointed after this episode...

at least using the chair brainwashing, they would be changed to evil with a video with subliminal stimuli and brain needlework.

now it's just a live stream of a friend dying. it's even less to make their behaviors change.

Chiaki isn't dead. Izuru, being fascinated by his unconscious reaction may become curious enough to utilize one of his many talents to save her so he can ask what the deal with his crying was as it goes against his analytical abilities.

Probably just wishful thinking though :/

Well, at least that was slightly more effective than subliminal message video. The logic of villain kills their friend = they now essentially work for the villain's cause is wack far beyond what I imagined it would be, but I guess that's just how Danganronpa works.

Its literally the worst of both worlds, Chiaki being the messiah and then dying to make everyone sad was what we all dreaded and we got that but worse

Values the concept of Hope to a disturbing degree (perhaps due to the fact that he routinely experiences good and bad luck). He condemns anyone or anything that has to do with Despair, but the irony is that his obsession with Hope leads to Despair itself.

Guys, they were STILL being brainwashed, it's just that they were seeing a livestream of Chiaki's death at the same time. They literally couldn't look away from the video or move, that wasn't natural. Weird stuff was happening.
