Dark Souls 3 Pre-Load on Steam is online

Decided to buy the Deluxe Edition on GreenManGaming just now, and got the key instantly - which is weird, because a friend of mine who pre-ordered it on there last week still hasn't gotten his.

Not sure why so many people (mainly at their forums) seem upset with GMG... it says right there on top of the store page that keys will be provided on the day of release. Glad to hear they're about to send them out though.

I chose to cancel my preorder and go with Gamesplanet, as the whole "authorized distributor" thing feels a bit shady. I'd be very interested in seeing the license's country of origin, if someone who gets the game from GMG could open Steam with developer console enabled.

Just received my key from GMG and entered it in the console tab but I don't see anything about the key I entered. Did I do something wrong? lol

Edit: I entered in licenses_print and the license I entered in today comes back as: Purchased : Mon Apr 11 09:00:20 2016 in "US", CD Key

Just got my GMG key. I preordered a few weeks ago.

It registered to Steam as "Dark Souls III - Pre-Purchase" and includes the soundtrack.

I'm all ready and pre loaded. I'm really excited to get started but I won't be able to play that much until the weekend. Even then, finals will being coming soon too.

But then I'll be dying all summer long!

Received mine from Instant-Gaming.
Pre-loading now.

Still need to get my Season Pass key though.
edit: two hours later, season pass key showed up.

Hope I hear from Gamesdeal today. Bought Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Division from them, and they emailed the cd key to me on time.

Everyone and their mother has already the keys except CDkeys.com

pls
We also paid the least, it must have downsides!

Ah cool, was wondering about cdkeys.
Got it pre ordered for £19, so very glad I did so and got £19 in my steam wallet, so I'll get season pass there too.

So my PC CE just arrived and it was nice seeing the game have 3 discs so I thought "sweet, no downloading just install" but nah, can't install until the game is out even though I can pre-load right now after I've entered the key.

Oh well, it'll download before the game is out anyway, just would've been nice installing a game from discs again.

I guess CDKeys are still waiting by their door for the truck from Khazakstan. I can't complain, I got it for under $30.

Yeah, it's always been like that. Steam don't allow preloading from a disk.

I guess it's not very high on their priority list since a lot of disks don't even contain the full game anymore these days.

Yeah. I honestly expected a fancy steelbook and a single disk that just had the steam installer on it. At least it's a nice steelbook and it's a proper place for the soundtrack to live and it's actually got the game data there for the future where all our steam games are dead and we have to rely on cyber future cracks to play our games.

DSIII is like $80 AUD on Steam, but through Gamesplanet works out to about $48 AUD, so I'm pretty goddamn glad I didn't just get it on steam yet.

Digital Soundtrack being a "reason" to by a digital deluxe edition seems ridiculous to me, considering that well, this is the internet, and it looks like buying DSIII and then the Season Pass separately on steam works out to be slightly cheaper.

I also got the soundtrack just for preordering the regular edition from Gameplanet. It's in my DLC list.

Can I use VPN to activate the game early? Idk if there is a country where this can work with but if there is, what is it and does Steam ban for doing this?

Bought the game from gamesplanet for £30.39 which is roughly 43 dollars
Then bought the season pass from my countries steam for 40 TL which is roughly 14 dollars...

So I got the whole package for 57 dollars not bad for me considering base game is about 58 dollars in steam in Turkey and this is after the price reduction from owning ds1-ds2 ...

Will there be a patch to download as soon as the game goes live, or is everything (1.03?) included in what we have pre-loaded?

That's still seven and a half hours too much, man. I want to play this now!

Make it seven hours! Well, I also want to play right now but I have exactly 7 more hours at work. For the first time in my life, I feel like working the hell out of this day just so it passes by fast and I can squeeze 3-4 hours before going to sleep.

I would call in sick but situation is a bit complicated so I'll take my DSIII sessions as "rewards", haha.

From's dev branch has a more recent build, but I think Scamco would have said something by now if there's to be a day one patch, plus the public build is the very same build that Nvidia has access to (one would presume that Nvidia's branch would be kept up-to-date if there's to be a patch come launch).

Edit: Actually, taking a closer look, it seems the public branch was updated around half an hour after the pre-load went live.
