I killed K
V
with only taking 2 hits with 4 Giant Souls with my Pyro character. Went almost whole match without a hit too till very end. Damn. Really got good at dodging. I found staying VERY close and circling around to the right and ending up behind him ended up with him ignoring me for a few seconds at a time.
The trouble with Vendrick is when he's backed up into a corner and you can't circle him. Then things get unpredictable. Everything can be going well and it seems a walk in the park, then he jumps back against the wall and you're fucked.
Actually walking through the door can be unpredictable too, I almost never get the jumping attack, sometimes I've even had the pyro(?) fireball type attack immediately as I walk through the fog door. That happened the last time I fought him just yesterday.
Tell you what, Gaf. If there was one game so criminally held back by fucking lag, it's Dark Souls II. I had the worst couple of hours of PvP last night. 80% of bouts were decided by winning blows that didn't even visually register on my end.
Not to mention, everyone is a katana/resonant weapon nong now. And EVERYONE HEALS. Goddamnit. It is the most base-level common courtesy. What are you proving by healing repeatedly and beating me in a battle of attrition? Who are you impressing? How are you satisfied? I don't understand it.
I can't even be bothered with pvp - every time I've done the Bellkeeper's or something for the rewards, I've been amazed how my own hits never connect, constant failed backstabs, but I get hit out of nowhere by a sword swing that at my end not only completely missed, I wasn't even anywhere close. How can you account for that other than jabbing and just running away after every try? I find the lag far worse than DS1, in that all I had to worry about were rubberband lagstabs, it seems like even the most basic sword swing in DS2 is a rubberband labstab. It's completely put me off even bothering with pvp tbh, DS2 for me is a PvE/co-op game with a light sprinkling of PvP when I need covenant rewards. /over it.
