I've only watched streams at work. That way I'm not giving the stream my full attention. So I'm bound to forget some stuff.

i really am not even watching the stream. Just listening to the sounds, and opening the tab for like 30 seconds at a time. I want to see a bit, but not too much!
Love demons and dark souls, but one thing I never do and never even try is parry. It just seems hard to me! I never figured out the timing so I was like; "forget it"
Edit: I was weak and im now watching a stream again. The area he is in looks awesome.

They claim it's the PS3 version, though, and both videos show PS3 controller button prompts. The PS3 beta also had some nice lighting. I haven't watched streams to compare, but could this be an Xbox issue? Anyone streaming the PS3 version?
I have tried to watch all these streams because it is so damn tempting and I want to know but everytime I close the window within 2-3 seconds. This game more than any other speaks to the explorer in me that only super metroid and metroid prime have given me. I spoiled dark souls 1 by watching streams and enb because I was still on the fence about the game and the speed runs were so damn fun to watch. Dark souls 2 may be the last time I get to have that feeling from a videogame that feels so rare to me.
Well you can still level up without resting and can purchase limitless amount of lifegems. Doesn't sound difficult to me once i've learnt the single player inside and out after a couple of playthroughs.
It was the PS3 build in the preview I linked.
I hope this stuff gets sorted out, I don't know if it only affects the 360 version or if the final PS3 build looks the same.
I guess we'll find out soon enough.
Just finished my second long session, which was pure Souls: spent hours stuck a boss I couldn't beat yesterday, then finally beat him when I tried out a different weapon. Then I explored 3 new areas, made some serious progress and beat 2 more bosses. The latter half of the session was pure bliss.
I'm having a blast, you guys are in for a treat.
btw this game looks pretty damn good, impressed by the visuals in some areas.
6 more hours on the timer, and I do not notice any tearing in the ps3 version at all. Can't complain about the framerate either.

Indeed. No Skyrim Souls.
Sounds more fun that way honestly. While it's obviously convenient as hell, even just watching the streams it feels like the world is less connected and that you're just selecting stages from a long menu.

Strength, dext. Maybe dabble in faith later if I find a neat miracle or something. Perfectly suited to this approach because there are no points wasted in INT (1 int on bandit!).
