So I am tearing shit up with my new PvP build, to say it politely. I went through my 'Players met' list yesterday and counted 36 individuals over the span of some hours. A whole bunch of them invaded me more than once, too, so I have no idea what the actual number of killed invaders is. Died twice.
Standing around in a dark Anor Londo is simply the most efficient, most fun way to PvP. You get higher level opponents through invading, sure, but not often more than one, so it's still not that hard. Well, except this one guy I invaded three times in a row, yesterday. They were all level 160 (I'm 120) - three people just waiting for me to spawn, everyone swinging their greatswords at the cheapest chance they got, giving me no chance to even spawn (is it even fun to play like this?).
The third time I invaded them, though, I was prepared. I got away, and was able to use my CMW, and I proceeded killing every single one, except the host, which I got down to a slither of health, but he annoyingly managed to heal, and then kill me.
I've found that being able to swap equipment is key. I have shield, tin crystallization catalyst in left and uchi +15 and pyro in right hand at the beginning of a fight. I then cast CMW with the tin (which uses 2 of my 3 CMW), and fight till that's out, then I swap to Sorcerer's Catalyst to use the last CMW, and when that's out I swap to Enchanted Uchigata +5. I've never once been hit while swapping.
It's been heaps of fun. Sometimes I feel my build is just too powerful. I often get invaded by two or three at once, and I manage to kill them easily. Some of the guys that come in with their huge swords that walk up to me and try to one-hit-stagger-and-kill-me tactic simply get met by two swift cuts by my Uchi, that does more damage than 6 of their hits, let alone the 1 they get in by the time they're dead.
Even Fog Ring + TWoP are a breeze now. They all seem to think that they can just walk up to me and start whacking on me with some huge weapon, but I simply attack back, and they normally die from two hits.
Today I'm gonna make Bandit's Dagger +15 and Enchanted Bandit's Dagger +5, and Enchanted Parrying Dagger +5 (I think) and start using that with Hornet Ring. Should be a challenge!
