I forgot how much I loved the first two games.

The first games ending, "Not alone." Might be my favorite line in a game ending ever.

I hated the loot system here. Why can't they just do it like DS1?

I liked it. Allowed you to make some insanely overpowered builds. I have a pair of Possessed Scythes with Life Steal and like 50% Crit Chance and 30% Freeze. I'm unkillable and destroy bosses in seconds. Regular enemies can barely move before they get frozen and annihilated.

If I wanted to play Diablo, I'll just play Diablo. This loot system clearly affected how levels designs and encounters which priorises the rate of loot drops which I why I actually prefer Darksiders 3 approach though they suffered more in level design of part 1.

If I'm being honest, I'd rather this visual style with the clarity and fluidity than a lot of other recent titles. This has aged nicely gameplay wise as well. Even though I never got around to finishing this game when it originally released, a remaster wasn't on my radar to purchase. Yet, here we are.

I thought 2 sucked. I loved the first. It was tight, well presented, and for the most part the puzzles were not too annoying. 2 was a chore, and I gave up after about 15-20 hours. The inventory sucks, the map sucks, the push-statue-around puzzles suck, the sprawl of it all sucks. Just ugh.

Unless you like picking up each individual item, go into the options menu and enable "auto loot". It's easy to check and see if you have something new since it will be highlighted.

Is the ray tracing on PS5 already? On PC, you gotta opt in for a public beta lol. The ray tracing isn't yet available.

Im not seeing evidence of it. The ps4 version also had "improved shadows" in the graphics options so i dont think we should assume that's the RT (shadows).

I love what this game is, but I'm struggling with these controls. Why isn't lock-on a toggle? Locking on and trying go do a special move just feels wrong.

The industry standard on controls has changed since this games release. I'm surprised they didn't add some new control options.

Not sure what you mean. It is a toggle. Maybe you can change it in the menu?

I didn't see an option. So once you pull the left trigger once, it stays locked on? Seems like I have to hold it down.

I just tested it again, and in order to stay locked on to an enemy, I have to hold the left trigger down at all times. I tried a simple tap, and it only locks on for half a second. And I don't see an option to change it.

Gaiff maybe you're just remembering wrong. It's just a bad lock on system.

I don't know how I stomached that system back in the day and beat the game. I think I'm going to quit now. I just hate it. I'm too old to try to relearn an old controls scheme when every other game has changed for the better.

I was thinking this update was coming any moment to pc and I bought the game off a sketchy CD key site for 5 dollars.

Apparently you can play the beta but it's in a very bad state. The Steam forum is skeptical it will be finished anytime soon.

Dammit I was jazzed to play it now.
