About the achievements... look up Steam Achievement Manager
Yeah I know about SAM, never used it and never will, I enjoy hunting for achievements.
I just wish Valve would separate main game and DLC like Sony does with trophies.

Ok at this point Sony is just trolling fans of this game. You mofos are assholes over at Sony and also real sons of bitches to keep pushing this game but won’t green light a sequel. Fuck you Sony, fuck you up your stupid asses.
And they greenlighted Concord..... imagine clowns that run gaming division....

Wtf.
It’s a weirdly bad game that should’ve been better.
But it already got 4k60 patch. So why the stupid remaster while there is bloodborne and tons of other games

Loved the game, but it’s a hard pass from me.

Guy made a great game, some journos didn’t like perfectly normal behaviour of its “sexist white biker man”, game sells great, but Sony reject a sequel and he’s forced out. Instead of a sequel they put the studio to work for 6 years on GAAS crap, which they cancelled, and now they’ve shat out a totally unnecessary remaster now they’ve realised “maybe we fucked up”.

Meanwhile the creator so far as I can tell is still in game dev jail 🤷‍♂️

It's a nice game and just a 10$ update for us who already bought it.
Too much negativity in the thread for something that is entirely optional.

To those who say its a waste of resources, no it's not. Such remasters are a great way to train and assess junior developers and increase technical know how internally without the hassles of a new game.

Concord was a waste of resources and every other tasteless GaaS.

Edit: I see their bullshit small print now. They can fuck off with that lol,
yeah, I think the same. I would probably have taken the 10$ upgrade, even if it looks in the trailer just as I remember it from my play through...
Someone suggested the game to me so I played it when I got it from PS+

After clearing the big area and going through the tunnel to discover... another big new area, I was like fuck that.

The game was very handsome and it felt mechanically polished, but it was all just so dull.

I hope they at least improved the horde physics because it was ridicolous in the og game with more than 10 enemies on screen, but i have almost zero hope after seeing the graphic """""""""""upgrade"""""""""".

If anyone is curious about the new graphical updates, the DF PC video has good coverage.

Not much, but the SSGI is nice.

Would've been far more exciting if it was a sequel announcement. Just sayin'.

Hulst probably got rattled and confused as to why it did better than expected after the lukewarm critical reception.

We have more PS4 remasters than original PS5 games on PS5 at this point
What apiece of garbage company they have become
You better kiss Hulst's ring for bestowing this greatness upon you.

These two just need a native 4k60fps patch, that's all.

The Order doesn't even need 60fps. Just crank everything up at native 4k. It still holds up really well.
You can't put up 4K60 patches for these games without bringing them to more modern PlayStation SDKs, and the work (mostly QA related) that goes into that would be enough to warrant going the extra mile of getting into remaster territory and make some extra revenue by selling that, as opposed to give away a free patch.

I might get this remaster in preparation for the possible sequel for ps5 in the near future. I hope this remaster has ray tracing and 4K.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

They would have likely mentioned this in the announcement or the blog post.

Most probably this is the PC version improvements inherited over the original PS4 version.

Uh....doesn't it run great on PS5 if you already own a disc or digitally? Who wants this? Just seems like a cash grab by Sony. You can get the PS4 version on Ebay for under $20

The trailer shows the game running on ps5 pro. Maybe it was develop with ps5 pro in mind. Probably it might have graphical upgrade like RT. Maybe it's just not announce yet. MHW has no raytracing in when it was first announce but now it has RT options.

There is no mention of RT in the blog, so keep your expectation in check

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
They are just dialing up the settings of the PC version and bring that to console in terms of fidelity. Its a minimal effort thingy

Any word yet from Ross or Garvin?

I want to know more about this Broken Road DLC. No way was it recently made right? Was this something that was going to release, but due to its sales, reviews and politics at the time they shitcanned it? Weird shit man.

The most efforts out of this is the DLCs that they are selling on PC as a $10 upgrade. The graphical fidelity that the console will see is from the PC version, that's why there isn't any improvement in terms of fidelity to PC.

The more remasters ye buy, the more sequels ye get!!!

No but seriously, BUY AND PLAY DAYS GONE REMASTERED SO WE CAN GET THE SEQUELS!

This is just to test the waters again with the IP. And Bend seemingly trashed their live service game so if this sells well they might get back to work on DG2 and DG3 and maybe Garvin will be consulting for direction.
Listen to the last episode of The Days Gone Podcast where Garvin is interviewed and spilling beans about the sequels.

Stellar Blade had a 10$ DLC that was just skins and people loved it, I certainly didn't see pages upon pages of complaining. Here you get new content that could have released for 10$ on its own, yet it comes with an improved version of the game with unlocked fps, haptics, pro support etc. Sounds like a good deal to me.

One of my fav games when released on PS4, considering I own, I may bite for the upgrade just to see it and mess around. But isn't there some actual add on DLC to the main storyline, why was this not released years ago?

Edit: NVM just found that there is no new story content, it's just the added modes etc. Lame! Still probably purchase lol

You didn't have to rebuy Stellar Blade to get the DLC though.

I'm comparing the prices. It's 10$ vs 10$ and in Day's Gone case you get much, much more for the same price. The DLC comes bundled in with a port of the game, somehow that's worse?

Ah I'm sorry I misunderstood. I didn't realize that the ps5 remaster upgrade came with the $10 dollar DLC. I thought the $10 dollar option was just for PC.

Absolutely no way is a sequel happening. The creators fuded with the head of the Studio, a lot of the staff is gone, the people that won out didn't even like the pitch for the game.

First of all, no. There is no chance this game can get a sequel just 'BECAUSE PEOPLE BUY A REMASTER'.

Second, the trailer haven't showed yet any significant improvement over the base game, with the base game already looks damn good on base PS5.

Third, we don't know yet if the game will get censored, aka, 'libertity to make some changes'.

I love this game, but that doesn't mean I love Sony. Middle finger to them for making Bend Studios work for 4 years into a GAAS.

What stupidity to think remaster secure a sequel. Dude, this is a silly mentality in any capacity level. Sony burn 400m dollar into Concord, half billion dollar into Spider-Man 2.

No way people can be that blind.

I pulled the trigger on the $10 Horizon Zero Dawn upgrade because, despite the character models looking funky, the visual upgrades were noticeable. I didn't even get around to playing Days Gone until I got it in the PS+ Collection after getting my PS5, so I already played it with the 1440p/60fps upgrades and I'm not seeing nearly as much of a visual upgrade here to justify upgrading. Not to mention, unlike HZD which I already owned on disk, I'd have to buy a copy of Days Gone to even get the $10 upgrade option.

Just feels like a waste of time and resources "remastering" a not even five year old game, and, sorry to step on anyone's copium pipes, but even if this sells well there's no chance of a sequel.

This insane remaster nonsense needs to stop. This game didn't need a remaster. It looks like the director of this game had the last laugh.
Mind you that horde mode looked interesting as well as the speed run.
Surely Bloodborne is next???
