Only really Aquaman himself has been doing the whole "Fuck Marvel" thing. Everyone else is pretty non bashing and is pretty supportive because they know all tides rise ships, so no need to bash.

It's not a good look to trash the competition. CBMs are sucking up so much talent in Hollywood, you're going to be working with some of the competition on other projects at some point, no point in making it awkward just to score points with a small group of fans.

I think they're all smart enough to not kick something while it's down. Like, on the build up to both films it's fine to drum up some fanboy fuel to hype it all but now that both films are out there's no reason to bash, especially when there's all the possibility you could be working with these people down the line in your career.

The issue with the Rock being Adam is that he's too...likable. He had the same problem whenever WWE tried to make him a heel. He has so much natural charisma and energy that rooting against him actually feels uncomfortable. He'd go to cities and make fun with them - as wrestlers are wont to do when they need easy heat - and the crowd would just laugh alongside him. They couldn't bring themselves to boo him.

Just...look at his fucking smile.

Look at that charming son of a bitch. How do you not make him the hero?

Granted, this isn't to say he won't be a good Black Adam. In fact, if it's true that he had his choice, I'm guessing he picked BA to step out of his comfort zone and get to be the bad guy for a change. But Shazam plays so much better to the Rock's strengths that it's a real missed opportunity.

He can be a more charming Loki.
