Just to note, a much better updated logo to use company-wide would've been the Johnny DC logo:

The top left portion of it, that is.

But still, I don't see anything really deplorable about this new logo.

It's not horrible on its own, but replacing the old logo is like replacing the Coke logo... some things just weren't meant to be changed. Lame.

How many times has Marvel changed their logo?

Looks good in the context of the heroes as well as in the cinema but otherwise is somewhat bland. I think the "DC" letters would be better suited with a differn't font. Perhaps something that embraces the comic books as opposed to side stepping them.
