To be fair the article does right in point that the problem is not the fanservice itself, because it's something that its present in almost all japanese fighting games (Soul Calibur, Tekken...). It's more about the marketing strategy from TN.
Filters wouldnt be bad btw. I mean, I'm ok with the swimsuits and stuff, but its true like someone else said in the last page that sometimes you're playing survival and you keep seeing girls half naked lol

thats marketing problem IMO. Make all the fanservice you want, but market the game as a fighting game, and people wouldnt be as annoyed. As I said, plenty of fighting games have tons of fanservice (hell, Soul Calibur is almost as pervy), but DOA got that fame from all the prerelease stuff about soft skin and realistic bouncing.
