Just look at NG3. I don't know how much DLC they released for it but it seemed like a lot. A year later we got all the DLC on the disc and a bunch of new content.
I'm expecting something similar here... Maybe WiiU gets everything first for $60, PS360 later for $40. Worst case scenario PS360 gets some DLC vouchers and has to purchase keys for the rest. Personally I don't care - WiiU touch battle FTMFW.

I'm not surprised with how at least 50% of the replies have been obsessive with the girls and their rounded features around here. It makes me laugh how some of the DoA fans used to be so defensive about this in the other threads with opposing views, but they freely admit it's the game's selling point in the OT threads (ps3 OT as well).
Despite being annoyed at guys who have nothing else to do besides playing with jiggle physics and ninja dog promoting this shit whenever they can, I'm glad that they're making it more optional as well.
It's like Ninja Theory is going further with this than ever before and they're worse about it (in my view at least) but at least you can turn the boob physics off looking at the picture posted in this thread, the bikini outfits and the softporn movies are in the limited edition version in Japan, other revealing outfits are mostly sold as DLCs and the ones in the game (3?) are unlocked by playing really good or grinding.
I was thinking of getting the game when it was first released on the PS3 but the promotions were off putting. Now I'm trying to accept it more despite it being more blatantly obvious on the vita as long as it's more optional and you're given the choice to not have it in the game. DoA games are awesome for being designed well and are fun to play, it's a shame a lot of the focus goes to the girls being played with as sexdolls.
Also would it hurt if some of you tone down on your perverse comments to make the OTs more welcome for others who aren't guys by default and others who genuinely want to discuss the game?

No, I don't know what you mean. Care to explain what you mean by other team? It doesn't matter wether it's in jest for some of you or not (which I know some are also being serious), it's annoying to read this boys club mentality comments so often and pics being posted of girls in the most revealing ways possible. That ps3 OT was littered with girls in revealing clothes thanks to the screenshot mode and the tradition seems to continue here.

Crazy how much the DLC is! Just three bundle packs cost more than the game itself! Wish it was cheaper. It should be $5 per bundle but even at that its too much.

I would consider it at 5$ (pretty doubtful) The prices right now are insane. Hopefully they go on sale or something cause I need some Tina bikini in my life and doubt ill be earning a legendary anytime soon

No idea about the space, but I always keep atleast 4 GB free for retail games (or alteast when I'll buy it). Only reason I clear early though is due to the molasses speed of the CMA.
Would have been nice if they confirmed this on Wednesday lol

2.5gb is a lot less than I expected. To compare, I think Blazblue and SFxT are over 3gb.

Honestly, I would suggest trying out the demo. I don't really care for buying costumes in any games (I'm looking at you street fighter), but Dead or Alive 5 has plenty of costumes to unlock.

I was considering buying this game but then I went to the PS Store and saw all the costume pack DLCs. There is no way I'm supporting such shameful nickel and diming anti consumer tactics.

Yup DOA5 has more in game content than DOA3 or 4 by a country mile. They add more DLC because the fans want more and more.
Yeah, and since this is precisely what I wanted, i have no problem buying the DLC. I do wish it was offered individually, though. There are some packs I don't want to buy, but they have an outfit or two I wouldn' t mind owning.

its content that seems like it could've easily been in the game already but they took it out just to use as DLC, and the prices of those DLC are ridiculous. Tekken Tag 2 has a much much better approach to costumes and such.
Yeah, outfits "seem" easy to do, sure, but the fact remains that this game had more on disc than any first release of DoA before it.
I wouldn't know about TTT2's outfits, since I hate unlocking stuff through anything other than fighting people and I haven't seen any of it. For me, it doesn't exist.
I don't know what just happened on the last page of this thread but I hope it's over and done with now.
DOA 5+ is great, end of story. There's a ton of content there and it looks and plays great. DLC is absolutely not required to get 100% of the enjoyment out of the game but for those of us who like some variety in our fighters looks' I'm glad it's available.

I wonder if it was because of requests, or if they already had it in queue.
Though they aren't really swimsuits. (Though mostly likely added to act as them.) Hopefully we'll actually get some real swimwear soon.
I love that 11 costumes for less than the price of 4 system.
Seriously. I was not joking when I posted about finding matches quicker in UMvC3. I actually went and tried it, I got two matches in the amount of time I was still searching for for matches in DoA. That should not happen on a game that was just released AND has crossplay for a whole other player pool to find matches.
When you decide to buy the game, it's nice to feel as though what you are buying is complete at the regular price. I love additional content, but when it's available straight away I get a bit Scroogey.
Thing is, it's not that different if I didn't buy it at launch and consider it later on and see all this additional dlc! That's why they make complete bundles.

Looking forward to buying this game when it's available here...and I can afford it. Been missing it since DC/Xbox 1 days and having the right number of buttons sounds good too.
