It might not make business sense (unless MS paid) but considering DR was a big 360 exclusive I don't see why anyone who cared about it would give a shit about buying it on ps3 in the first place.

Dead rising started on xbox, it being the primary platform is not really weird or anything, i'm not even sure why so many who didn't care about DR1 on xbox care about dr2 on ps3 -_-

So GTA started on the Playstation so by the same score no one on Xbox should give a shit about it and should just buy all of them on the Sony consoles!

Stupid argument is stupid

If your releasing a sequel on a console that never had the orginal it is NOT a good idea to skip releasing the prologue that at the very least bridges the gap of what happened between the first game and now.

I do agree that in reality releasing DR2 without 1 is pretty rubbish in the first place.

I am only happy this gets released, becausr the impressions will probably be a good indication if I should pre-order the full game.

I'll pick this up but I will probably end up buying the full game on the PC.

I don't see a problem with the whole "paid demo" thing as long as they give you new areas like this. If this wasn't coming out first it would probably be released down the line as DLC for the usual 560 points anyway.

Always wondered why games didn't have achievements for demos. Hell, even demo specific achievements.

Crackdown 2 let you get the Achievement but it did not actually unlock until you got the retail version.

At 400 points, Case Zero is a steal. Demo or not, its a few hours of mashing up zombies with improvised weaponry for a few Space Bucks.

Is it confirmed that it's not being released on the german marketplace?

And if so, could i still buy it through some marketplace link?

Really hope I enjoy Case Zero, since it's going to make or break my day 1 purchase of DR2. I think the original Dead Rising is hands down the best exclusive on the 360, but the quality of this game seems totally up in the air at the moment.

pretty much agree completely

the only thing that bothers me is that I won't be able to transfer the data from Case Zero to DR2 since I'll be getting the full game on PC (potentially)

Like pretty much any type of DLC there will always be the possibility that it's content ripped out of the game, but I'm glad that Capcom is pricing it reasonably, and gets to set the precedent.

3 years before? a completely different location?

I always thought it was just going to be in the same area as the sequel but be maybe the day or hours before the main game, never realised it was seriously "all new" stuff.

400msp sounds good for a mini dead rising :D

Looking forward to this, but I'm kinda curious if this will be enough for me...as in I don't end up buying the full retail release because I've gotten enough out of the few hours this is suppose to offer.

American 360, so I should be okay

Most of the Games on Demand stuff I can't buy, but DLC, Arcade titles, etc. I buy with no problem

You will still have a German IP.

Its a valid point, I think that there is enough in the full release to warrant a purchase tho, new different areas, co op play, multiplayer, all the extra combo weapons to try out etc...

Well we'll seen then =/

Best way to see if you are good is to download the trial to Duke Nukem or Doom.
But you can trick their IP check by using a VPN server. I'm currently looking into that.

no problem, the ip ban is not activated when the game is uploaded. it takes 2-3 hours.

Really? Sweet.
What's the usual time when stuff gets uploaded?

Yeah can't DL Doom or Duke.
So what is it then? Is everything I have downloaded up to this point actually available on the German marketplace in some form? (actually couldn't DL the recent HAWX2 demo, lol)

I mean damn, I actually bought the original Games on Demand version of Dead Rising surprisingly enough, so there's that..

Stoked this is coming out Tuesday. I will get it and hopefully it will be great. First time to power on my 360 for something other than Rock Band in months.

However, I am not stoked that I will get it and then be irritated that it won't transfer stuff to my ps3 copy.

Yep. So stupid. I was going to get the PS3 version.

I have the first on 360, but I can't care about getting the second on it. *shrug*

I really want to play case zero, but I haven't used my launch day 360 in about 2 years, im guessing it will self destruct about 5 seconds after I turn it on...

Ah fuck it i'll give it a go and see what happens.

Is true that the only difference between the demo and the real thing is that you can transfer your save and get achievements?. The demo let you do everything?.

Er this isn't a demo (technically) this is a totally different piece of story and is not in the main game at all, its just a prologue where you can unlock some items and clothing that aren't in the main game, you transfer your character to the full game when its out at the end of the month.

Didn't really get on with Dead Rising; but willing to give it another shot with this mini installment as the combo weapon system seems interesting

Getting this :D Bought a 4cl shot in a bar last night for about the same price, so I don't think I'm allowed to complain about pricing :lol

Fair enough not having Case Zero on the PS3 but where's the harm in having it on the PC? At least a benchmark so I can see how good it looks on the PC would be nice like they did with RE5.

Sadly, not all the time, Doom 1, DNF were region locked from the moment they were released... ;(

He means the demo for Case Zero which it should have if it's being released as an XBLA title.

Gta series didn't become that relevant until 3 nor did the xbox exist during a time prior, in which case every single GTA from that one and on released on xbox and in superior form. Not really comparable imo as dead rising 2 looks to be cut from the exact same cloth as the original.

The same deal would be I guess if capcom did a little gift for dmc4 on ps3, but I guess the devs didn't feel the need.

GTA started on PC first ace. Kinda invalidates your argument

I think more reasonable complaint might be "This is just a prologue cut from the main game, being sold separately to make an extra $5."

That said, I'm a sucker for Dead Rising and will almost certainly buy this.
A Prologue for only $5? That's a BARGAIN, sir.

:D

Pretty sure the first GTA came out at the exact same time on PS1 as PC? 1997?

Anyway it was a generally rounded example and a pretty quick one, could say many others (Devil may cry, resident evil yadda yadda)

I know it isnt relevant as GTA pretty much has no story but the orginal argument by goldenpp72 was flimsy as anything and I replied before really thinking too deep into it.

once again we have people mad at other people for enjoying things.

Im not mad at anyone about this individually, im a little mad at Capcom as it doesn't make too much sense, im sure they would make more cash out of this if PS3 and PC got in on the action.

Anyway I don't begrudge people on the 360 having this just saying I wish PS3 + PC had the same opportunity to enjoy it is all.

"original argument"? I was just pointing out the fact that you were dead wrong about GTA's release date
