Yeah, I wonder what they are doing with the lighting. It makes some of the environment look photoreal which also makes the poorly textured zombies stand out.Seth C said:The new lighting does a world of good for this game. Some other devs should take notice. It takes that grocery store picture from "meh" to looking just pseudo-realistic enough to be exciting.

kinda sad when this comes from a developer that gave the big FU to the xbox
Mrbob said:Times are changing! Japan developers know they need to support Xbox 360!
Helznicht said:Nice lighting change and DoF. But the game looks FAR from done, at least I hope it is......

When did this game start looking so cool?
Jesus, don't make me but a 360, don't. I was happy not buying it until I saw this.

Gyaarr!
Vaandaviii said:The animation on the tgs trailer was the absolutely worse crap ever. People move like puppets.
cyberheater said:But they're Zombies. Aren't they meant to move like that.
Vaandaviii said:The woman running on the trailer was a shame.

Looks boring as fuck. I was expecting something more along the lines of Dawn of the Dead Remake.
The room full of zombies only attack when the main character is like 6 feet away. Lame.

gameplay vids made it look boring as hell, but i am pretty sure it was the player's fault
Btw, there's a new gameplay vid up Chez Blimblim i haven't seen linked yet
Here
haven't watched it myself
I dunno, I think part of the appeal they are shootin for is a massive city under assault by an army of zombies. They would've been better off cutting the number of zombies down by a LOT, making them smarter and more lethal instead.
Ceb said:Exactly. It looks great in stills, but holy fuck @ the seemingly poor AI and botched animations. They would've been better off cutting the number of zombies down by a LOT, making them smarter and more lethal instead. But I guess that would've made the limitations of the controls even more evident...
Truelize said:I think the game looks awesome. But I'm really worried about the whole 100 enemies on screen at once. I would really love to see it happen in a lot of games, but I can't really see it working when the game appears to be using 5 character models. It will honestly take away from the fun of the game if I'm killing the exact same zombie every 5th time.
I know it's a lot of work to make everyone look different but I think it's a huge deal.

Ceb said:They can still convey that feeling without packing the rooms full of zombies, IMO. RE2&3 pulled this off quite well despite being on inferior hardware...

The difference is actually rather minor, but the new lighting, depth of field, and AA add so much.
EmSeta said:It's really odd, marketing-wise, that Capcom doesn't slap the Resident Evil /Biohazard name on this one.
