I think we would have heard about it if that were the case. There were all sorts of photos of Luke on set during the filming of JJ.

Oh, good point. I was wondering if that was the case. Thanks for the info!

I dunno. It depends on what happens going forward I guess. I could be wrong and they could announce JJ S2 tomorrow. But I think Netflix will probably look to renew anything which helps their lineup so whatever the case we will see JJ again. Just a matter of when.

JJ is not in Luke Cage tho. That might take place before JJ S1 even happens if it is all origin story.

That all makes sense, thank you. As to Luke Cage, though, I want to say the showrunners have said that the events of S1 will take place (spoiler-tagging for anyone extra-squeamish about spoilers)
prior to *and* after the events of JJ S1.

All I know about JJ Season 2 is that if the OT isn't What What In The Butt, we've failed AGAIN

I thought I remembered Bendis once saying that wasn't the intention of that scene. Just FWIW.

An in depth interview with Jon Bernthal.

How do you see Frank Castle?

As a man who put his on the line and really went through the ultimate sacrifice for this country in his involvement in the military. He’s a guy who brought the war home with him [in] the worst possible way. There are a lot of iterations of this character and in all of them it’s a man who’s gone through this unbelievable trauma and what’s interesting about our take on him is how this trauma reshapes his own philosophy. I can’t give too much away, but what’s interesting is the way [showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez] have made his story a slow burn. It’s interesting to find this guy at the point we find him. You want an evolution and a process. He starts in one place and will end up in another.

The Gods of GAF cannot save you.

There is no God.

There is just me

And I am RIGHT.

Preach it!

The movie was crap and Thomas Jane was "eh" as Frank Castle. I did find it hilarious how they changed it up so his entire fucking family tree is wiped out and after being shot and blown the fuck away...he just waltzes out the ocean like " Yo I'm cool".

I think they'll do Luke Cage > Iron Fist > Defenders > Punisher

I'm thrilled that Punisher gets his own show. I do not hope that it'll replace an eventual Daredevil S3. We can't get enough Daredevil.

I also don't think Jessica Jones S2 will happen honestly.

I'm down for this, but would Punisher's show be before or after Defenders? I say this considering that they're starting to get going with Iron Fist.

Can't fucking wait, speaking of which, I wish Marvel would let characters drop a few (not too many) f-bombs here and there. It's the criminal underworld after all.

Main villain should definitely be Barracuda, get an imposing actor to play him.

They already granted your wish in the MCU Netflix shows.

Nah buddy. He wasn't. He's a sad sack in black. That ain't Frank.

He gets a lot of leeway because he made a fanfilm with Joker's theme in the background. Doesn't carry much weight with me. He's not a good Frank in that, either.

I like Tom Jane. He's a bad Punisher. You have to be willing to settle to claim him as anything but. And I understand people settling considering your alternatives are Dolph Lundgren and Ray Stevenson (although I think Stevenson did it better, personally). But Jane's a bad Frank Castle, and 2004 Punisher was a bad movie, and Dirty Laundry is a bad fan film.

You aren't wrong, but man Tom Jane had a good voice for the role at least. The PS2 game he did work with was a riot.

Only Punisher arc I'd like to see adapted for this:

Where's my daredevil season 1 bluray though add Jessica Jones to that list also

I imagine you'll start to hear more about Daredevil getting a physical release closer to the debut of Season 2. Netflix is only going to want people watching the show on BluRay as opposed to just streaming it as a last resort.

uh I don't like Jon Bernthal, his nose is too big. I hope they re-cast

Agreed. They should get Adrian Brody.
