I basically just got dropped into the Director View after doing an Ice Moon mission after I reinstalled on my Series X. I just popped into the Cosmodrome and got my ass kicked by random enemy spawns.

Hmm, Cosmodrome enemies might be scaled to newest DLC if you are not in the New Light campaign. I'm not on to see their current levels. You might benefit from the New Light Campaign (Access Via Tower kiosk next to Postmaster) just to get your Light Level up if you haven't already. It's hard to direct since it'll depend on what expansions you have. If you have Forsaken, that's where I'd start since I believe that'll be the oldest content that wasn't sunset and lore/story wise will be nearest to where the campaign left off if you stopped during Yr1.
If you are just focused on getting your LL up first, just go hit up Public Events on EDZ, they spawn the fastest and generally payout is a couple blues and they will get your LL up until you hit the soft cap. Depending on if you enjoy the modes or not, Gambit has the best payout of loot at the end of each match, but gambit is trash so that depends on if it's your cup of tea. PVP also pays out 1-3 blues per match and LL won't matter there either.

I have most of the raid armor unlock for my titan. Only weapon the in the loot pool for me is the sniper.
Thus I started Beyond Light for my Warlock and Hunter.
You can easily glitch frostbite to easily solo the first raid encounter sparrow portion for the secret chest. Running that on alts...
So I’m able to target fam at least two guaranteed sniper drops and tokens. I want both pve and pvp god rolls so right now I’m incentivized not to play the raid in full yet till I get what I want.
I want the handcanon tho so I’ll give it another week

if you're talking about Gambit, the motes are the little triangle things that drops after you killed the mobs. you collect them by running over them and you can deposit them into the bank in the middle. you can deposit any time you like but each time when you deposit 5/10/15 of them, you'll send a small/medium/large Taken blocker mob to the other team, disabling their ability to deposit until they killed the blocker(s). keep in mind that if you die while holding motes, you lost them for good. so it's a matter of if you want to risk it for a large blocker or if you want to deposit as soon as possbile.

For some reason I'm having the itch to get back into this. I miss Destiny PVP/raiding but it's been so long since I've played I don't know if it's nostalgia or an actual want to play. I'd be lying if I said I just want to check out the new console version but my playtime while away from home probably doesn't lend well to this sort of game esp taking spotty internet into account.
I have this feeling that it may be too hard to get back into...

It depends on what you're willing to put in for time. It's dumby easy to level up to 1250, it's just sucky that it's the same exact activities we've done for years now. PVP if you stick to quickplay light level won't matter, but you'll quickly see why many hate the PVP meta with Stasis within a game or two, there is no gun skill anymore, it's just ability spam the mode. The raids that are available now aren't overly hard, but can be considered slightly mechanic heavy (not so much Deep Stone Crypt) and are fun, but if you're internet is spotty that could be rough. D2 is just simply kind of a time sink, so if you want to put the time in you may enjoy it. I already weeks ago hit the mode where I only log in for my 3 raid clears to try to get the low drop rate exotic, there still isn't anything to chase in the PVP/Vanguard/GambitLOLtrashmode loot pools outside of I believe Trials which I think offer the same guns they did last season, same with Iron Banner, just reskins of armor and rereleases of old guns this season.

Llng time brotha, I hope all is well. Destiny is always a great game to chill in. I've taken a step back this season, but I'm still enjoying my time with it, without stressing about getting/doing everything

My favorite activity in D2 right now (and has been for a couple of months) is just going to a destination, doing bounties, collecting planetary mats, glimmer, patrols and what not while listening to a podcast or music. It's relaxing. While my friends are constantly engaged in "a getting the highest triumph score in the clan"-competition. Jesus...

The seasonal dlc that launches with these fall expansions is consistently weak. It just feels like resources that would’ve been better dedicated to Europa content for that content window.
You know the next season will be bigger in regards to season content so I don’t get it... Sure, still make a season pass track of loot but it should all be tied to that fall expansion.
I don’t dislike sunsetting but it was a bit much. It should’ve just been stuff relative to year 1 or 2 loot pools and the vaulted content. Shadowkeep weapons didn’t get enough time to shine because of too much loot prior ...
I’d like to see them delete and rebuild fan favorites if the end goal with deleting old content is to modularly improve the engine year after year. At some point older assets need to go.
In other words, it’s time to for them to start revealing what’s next.

Sunsetting is a plague on this game TBQH.. IMO. The Wrathborn hunts are fun though, i wish they were matchmaking enabled. Only reason I'm grinding them out is in case it's tied to that Wrathborn datamined Ship "The Fourth Mark".. there's still an unknown Triumph for the Wrathborn hunts.. so i hope it's the ship mission, the ship looks SICK.

They don’t, another half baked seasonal activity that got boring the second week it was available. Can’t see the final hints changing my opinion whenever they finally drop. This for me might be the most boring season yet

With sun setting I’m playing so muchless now. I just can’t stand my hard earned stuff is just worthless now in most pve stuff. I fount some “good” weapons but nothing like my old stuff. Wouldnt be so bad if you didn’t have to upgrade everything to make it useful, just don’t know the target audience for the game any more. Hard core people that can play for hours a day but don’t get invested in gear and builds? Do people like that exist?

I think horror story and winter werewolf got new light levels last season. If you pull from collections it’ll have an updated sunset level I believe.
Seems you cannot masterwork the new Drang.
Didn’t realize Coldfront SMG from the dawning event has an updated sunset level too. Didn’t farm it this holiday but apparently it’s bugged and comes with new perks and is the ONLY kinetic primary that can roll with dragon fly. Had no idea... that’s pretty neat

don’t think it will work, new ones had random rolls so shouldn’t be able to pull it. Another thing that sucks about sun setting, repeated guns don’t get the lvl bump.

Must be nice, I’ve cleared it three times every week but 1 where I got two clears and still no rocket. 5% drop chance is just plain bs, at least have the higher chance with each clear. Many in the clan I’m in are in the same boat, drop rate is killing our interest in continuing doing it.

honestly, I wasn't even really aiming for Eyes. mostly just trying to get the DSC machine gun since I still had not got one yet after all the runs I did so far. I mostly do any random drop exotic related stuff with the mindset that I won't get it anyway. I do feel that they should maybe put some additional way to give folks extra chances to get the EOT. maybe give an extra roll by turning in spoils, or that whole accumulative increase chance for the drop by keep doing more runs. maybe cap at 10% or something if they don't want it to be everywhere.

Finished it and didn't get the ship, only to see the tweet hours later that it's bugged. How do they continue to fuck up such basic shit that THEY decide when it drops? You timegated this all season and didn't bother to test and make sure the item that is supposed to be a 100% chance to drop actually drops? Bungo is just embarrassing at this point with this game, but hey, I got to go back to the Ascendant Realm for the 45th time, where are the people who used to complain about reused assets?
On a side note, got my last character to 1260 today, but went 0/2 on Eyes of Tomorrow with one more shot, can't wait to be be 0/29 after that run. Gotta keep the raid exotic beyond dumb rare when they practically gift you every other exotic in the game just for buying DLC and logging in.

The game is currently designed to jump on current expansion and move forward.
The base game from ps plus is worthless. That’s vanilla content.. which doesn’t exist anymore. So you have nothing that isn’t f2p content anyway such access to strike, gambit, pvp playlists and prophecy dungeon...
I just checked PSN. To get all content which includes the previous Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions you get the Legendary Edition on PSN which is 35% discount with the holiday sale and like 52 bucks.

The rest of the year will be a toss up. I want to expect something slightly better than last year. Prophecy dungeon was the best drop of last year... but that was free content right?
Whatever I’d like a dungeon bur what I mostly want is a new ranking and rewards system for competitive crucible. I love the crucible. I love it now even with stasis and these metas always fall into their sweet spot in spring and summer after massive sandbox shakeups.
I just want more reasons to play crucible. I mean... I play it 95% of the time anyway... just make Recluse, Not Forgotten, and Mountaintop exotics to chase in comp lol.

Still having issues in this game, have mentioned this earlier and still no solution.
Ever since the Beyond Light update, I've not been able to get a good looking game on PC.
Everything is either to dark and crushed blacks or to light and washed out.
Other games on PC works/looks fine and so does console games and TV/Movies from PC and or console/disc.

Thanks for the vid, I'm not usually a big fan of TrueVanguard, but yeah hits most of the problems in the head. I would argue vendor refreshes would do alot more for the game then he probably thinks, but that's just me.
