Well, once the capacity is reached, in comes the crew to add more seats. But, instead of people waiting for the seats to be put in to fill, they are jumping onto each other in the original 100,000 seats trying to get seated. Eventually, the weight of 10 people in each seat causes the seat to break.

That is basically what happens during these mad rushes for any major product you can download and play online lol.

if you finish that you have to start the beta app and download a 10.98 GB file^^

Looking at this thread and how the PSN store is being hammered, this game will be huge for Bungie and Sony. Can't believe this is just the beta ppl are going crazy about. Also I have noticed a lot of folks know about this game compared to other games. Again a sign this will be huge come launch.

For the people getting the error connecting to PSN/PSN is down when you open the beta, just keep trying, it eventually worked for me.

I've preloaded the Beta a couple of hours ago via EU PSN preorder, cancelled the preorder afterwards and just redeemed my code from Bungie which then activated the beta, it finally works!

Bah. I dont understand the EU preload thing at all. I preloaded via EU account but kept getting licensing issues (which I tried to restore)

Then I just downloaded the beta from Bungie's code...which downloaded another Beta tile on my XMB. This second beta downloaded as fast the preloading, but now I'm installing Destiny in-game (concept art is nice!)

So I have two betas.

Bad news. You can only download the shell remotely. You will still have to download 13gb file when you get home.

I actually redeemed the code on my PS4... I just used the double tap trick, and it really worked in about 4 tries.

On the contrary, I cant get the store to load on the PC.

Regardless, a lot of people are pressing circle to get out of the store when they get an error. If you have your foot in the door already (PS store loaded), don't let it go by closing it via circle. Just double tap out to get rid of the error message, and double tap back in to continue where you left off

Yeah but why go through the PSN store when the SEN website is guaranteed to work every time ya know?

Ok here's how to get into the beta if you're having problems.

Step 1: Get your beta code from the bungie site. That's just perseverance. Keep spamming until you get through.

Step 2: Don't even try redeeming your code through your PS4 you'll end up flipping a table. Instead read https://support.us.playstation.com/...-to-redeem-a-code-or-playstation-network-card Click "PC or Mac: Redeem Vouchers through the SEN website". Follow the steps to redeem your code.

Step 3: After redeeming your code you will not be able to download the game from the same site. Now you'll have to deal with PSN (god speed). This step was provided by TimeEffect:



Don't use the circle button like I was! Follow this procedure.

Step 4: Go down to the Destiny pg on the PSN store and click it. Keep following the quoted method whenever you get an error screen. If the download button doesn't work just keep trying the quoted method.

Step 5: You're in! Or you should be unless something changes. You can't actually play unless Destiny can connect to PSN which I haven't solved yet but hopefully you'll be lucky and won't need additional assistance.

Got the code redeemed, and thankfully only took a few mins for the PSN to work on the PS4 and went to my downloads list and started to dl the beta now. So thanks a lot man that really helped ^__^
