Finally get home from work and redeem my code, download the beta in about 20 minutes pretty quickly, start Destiny and get a "Transferring Game Content" screen showing 10.97 GB to download? It's taking forever. I'm at only 0.24 GB at about the same time it took me to download the entire beta.

WTH is this crap?

The intro cinematic for this game is so good. Shades of Civilization and Alpha Centauri.

I quite like all the cinematics and music. Feels very Star Trek-ish and very refreshing to have such an ambitious plot and for it not to be overly 'dark' and 'gritty'.

You didn't download the beta. You downloaded the installer which actually downloads the beta content.

Just tell me what's so great about it. I'd love to enjoy it as much as you guys do.

What would be the point, honestly.

Somebody's going to say a bunch of reasons to justify why they like the game, then you'll probably post a point-by-point analysis refuting those reasons to justify why you don't like the game.

The whole "tell me why you like (thing) so I can disagree with you" game is tiresome on all fronts.

Nobody cares that you don't like the game, or at least nobody cares enough to try and convince you otherwise. Just like you ultimately don't care that people like the game.

How does the multiplayer aspect work? I'm playing a story mission and stumbled upon a few players. Are other players randomly dropped in together?

Yeah, and you can just choose whether to interact with them or not.

What would be the point, honestly.

SO MUCH THIS. We would never be able to convince him why we love the game.

Those players are doing their own mission, you can get close and try to join them but usually they have a private fireteam. If you wanna play with one or two friends together you must invite them at the mission screen where you can see the spaceship

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
I haven't really been following this too much... though I was quite surprised to see this isn't 60fps. Game looks alright, but I don't see what they're doing that requires the low framerate.

Kinda fun so far, I guess. Framerate is a shame though.

The UI is one of the best I've ever seen on console. It's a work of art itself. Someone award them please.

If only you could use something more precise to use the navigator...
Something that can precisely measure speed and accuracy
Some kind of touch-based navigator, a touchpad, if you will.

If only we had that kind of technology..

Anyone find the Golden Chests? I know there are 5 and one of them is in the first story mission basically right out in the open...wanting to find the other 4

Explore opens up after either the second or third story mission

I need to write them down on my next playthrough. One of them has a rocket launcher way before heavy weapons are introduced. I've also found four or five dead ghosts

Uhm... that is not my intention at all. Why the hell would I do an analysis of why I am not enjoying it? The game has some redeeming qualities of course. The music is amazing and the cutscenes are very good, and I really like the voice acting. I just don't understand what is so special, and all I want to know is why you like it.

Hit level 8. Got Gold Tier on the Devil Walker Public Event in the Explore Mission (which got me some Glass Shards from the Postmaster in the Last City, though I'm not sure what I can do with them). A couple randoms and I had zero trouble taking it down. I love how many story missions are included in the Beta. Graphically, I can't tell any difference between the Beta and Alpha. They look the same to me. Peter Dinklage still sounds indifferent, just now it's indifference with a filter.

Just started downloading the 10.97 gb via the installer, quick question, I can't put my ps4 in standby for this download correct since the download isnt really happening from the ps4 ui? Thanks.

Yeah I thought for sure they would add touchpad support for the beta.

My God the wizard (not from the moon) went down in like 6 shots. I know a lot of people complained about the bosses being bullet sponges but that was ridiculous. Gonna try on hard ASAP.

I hope they let you skip cutscenes in the final game. Does anyone know if the different races have any difference in their backstory, or do even the Exo just get woken up saying they've been dead for centuries? Also, are the voices different between each race?

Did you try the strike yet?
