So I was giving my buddies the Gorgon CP earlier that Boguester gave me this morning (thanks again!) and they both grabbed the chest and I was like, er let me switch to my main real quick, I didn't actually get the chest with her. So I loaded in with my Hunter and was like, come on Hawkmoon. So on chat to my friends I was just going, "Hawkmoon, Hawkmoon, Hawkmoon" as I ran down the cave to the chest. Opened that fucker up and this happened.

wait... what. I'm not sure you even know what you meant by "that is the result with the highest probability," or it's missing something. You're describing a single independent event with two results wherein each result is equally likely. Both results have the highest probability, each time the event occurs; a 50-50 chance.

Casinos would certainly not make that much money offering odds in this vein, which is why they... don't. The closest you might manage to get is roulette, when a simple bet on any of the "half and half" odds, either red or black, odd or even, high or low, has 47.4% odds of a payout- still worse than a coin flip on either end (the "house edge"). And of course, these options with the best odds have the tiniest payouts.

Casinos make their money in a lot of ways that manipulate human psychology but they don't have anything to do with setting up even AB distributions.

I do know what I mean. Maybe I should clarify.
Let's say after a million rolls, there's a higher probability of a roughly 50/50 distribution of A & B than let's say 75/25. You might get a streak of A rolls or B rolls but eventually it will be roughly 50/50.

And please, I did not say the casino's give you 50/50 odds. I meant to say the casino's rely on probability. It's kind of funny that you would even think I was suggesting that and go far enough to write a long post trying to explain to me why I'm wrong
